I clay bar my car a couple of times a year, and use Zaino products in between, I've never found it difficult, but maybe that's because I've build up so many layers of Zaino wax that the dirt comes off very easily.

It's important for those of us who tow horse trailers with low tongue weight. We often have very little payload - all the weight is in the trailer.

I'm also interested in a gooseneck, but am planning on the 6.5 bed to give me more clearance. My regular trailer is a bumper pull, but in case of fire evacuation, I want to be set up to pull any trailer at our barn.

There don't seem to be many of them around. I've searched for a 2020 within 500 miles of my location, and there's not a single Lariat with the max tow package and a 6.5' bed.

I'm ordering the Lariat sport, and I think the 18" wheels look great. They don't look too small for the wheel wells at all.

Thanks for sharing this, @kavm. I've contacted two Ford dealers so far, neither of whom knew the answer. I've contacted corporate on FB, but they just directed me to the dealerships. Finally I left a voicemail for Ford corporate, but they couldn't even be bothered to reply.

Thats because the individual posts are indexed by search engines. They have to crawl every page of every site that is indexed (except those specifically excluded by the site owner.)

Perhaps I misread the original post. I thought you were saying that the range extender contains "an engine, fuel tank, exhaust system and control electronics" which an EV doesn't have. Or are you saying that this is a completely separate device from the truck itself, with the truck being a full...

IN other words, it's not a real EV, it's a PHEV with a range extender. That's disappointing.

The Lariat Sport package comes with 18" wheel. I'm also getting the Max Tow Package. Do I need to upgrade to 20" wheels to get the maximum tow rating?

Totally. I actually don't want to stop at all, since I tow a horse trailer and stopping with horses on board for longer than a few minutes is a pita. As long as I can get 300 miles on a single charge, I can make it at least to the nearest vet hospital.

Can't wait to see the range while towing. I've been waiting for an electric truck for years!
