  1. EPA MPGe Target & Backup Power Info From Ford Livestream

Comment of the year candidate right here.
  2. Any word about the Range Extender Patent?

The 1.0L Ecoboost from the Fiesta immediately came to mind but it looks like it has been discontinued in the US, don't know if they would consider using it again for this application. Turbo hardware would take up more space & I don't know if it would be the right engine for this application but...
  3. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

If any caps are implemented I’d love to see Ford make the base MSRP of their highest end model (let’s say it’s the Lariat) just under the cap and make everything above that an option off that base.
  4. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

The language about MSRP caps in the two versions of the proposals just doesn’t make sense to me. If your goal is to not give the incentive to people that don’t need it, shouldn’t you be focusing on the annual income rather than the MSRP of the truck? Let’s say you had a business where you...
  5. F-150 Lightning ordering (order bank open) not until April 2022 ?

I’m hearing from my dealer October/November to open the ordering system, so a little more specific than “Fall.”. Anyone else hearing October/November?
  6. Who’s selling their EV, when they get the Lightning?

I’ll be keeping my 90k mile C-Max Energi with 56k EV-only miles as a daily driver and driving it into the ground- this will be a work truck. The engine on my car is just a baby but the battery has degraded quite a bit due to no liquid cooling for the Energi’s HVB.
  7. Blue Cruise option - who is getting it and what trim levels will it be offered on ?

I voted uncertain because of current proposed legislation with a pricing cap on tax incentives; I'd get the Max Recline seats if the trim it's available on (presumably only Platinum) qualified for all the proposed incentives, and of course that would come with Blue Cruise. If that's not the...
  8. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

“during a 30 to 40 minute charging session*” * During a 30-40 minute charging session where Electrify America has enough available, functional charging points operating at full capacity, and/or Elon Musk keeps his word and opens up the Supercharger network” there, I fixed it . . .
  9. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

Do you really think you'll need to take a 30-45 minute nap while charging on a long trip? Something that won't happen but a few times a year. Sure. Everyone uses their vehicle differently. For one, my girlfriend doesn’t drive, or drives very rarely (anxiety) and a big truck will probably not...
  10. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

I was considering the Platinum strictly for the Max Recline seats for sleeping while charging on longer road trips, although it will mainly be a work truck. Basically I was justifying it as a part work truck part luxury vehicle since the lay-flat seats seemed like a must have for long trips. I...
