  1. Electrify America Exec Addresses Need for Stations to Accommodate EVs with Trailers

Silverado EV is 400 mile range, so 200 mile between charge is reasonable for new EV tow vehicles. I think the Rivian with larger pack is also in the 400 mile range with 11k tow capacity. Personally, unhitching to charge is not that big a deal. Audi e-Tron with trailer was charging next to...
  2. Electrify America Exec Addresses Need for Stations to Accommodate EVs with Trailers

Several EA stations look like that but I don't think the two parking places would accomodate a truck and trailer. Using it at off times for shopping might assauge the parking security guy.
  3. Electrify America Exec Addresses Need for Stations to Accommodate EVs with Trailers

Those are Walmart parking spots. The poles have no EA marks on them, the basic red and white parking signs one sees in all parking lots. I'm sure EA does put them in to protect the spots it has been given by the lot owner.
  4. Electrify America Exec Addresses Need for Stations to Accommodate EVs with Trailers

The poles and signs are to protect the EV charging spots. You'd need to talk to the Walmart or Target. Issue for them is less parking for customers and problems with no protection for the EV charging spots. If no sign and pole, the EV parking spots will get blocked. If they block the spots...
  5. Seeking F-150 Lightning

More than a few of us plan to flip the F150 when it comes so just keep your eyes open for local sales. Might even advertise your interest. Rivian and GM have some nice EV pickups coming so see if those fit your needs and you can advertise what you are looking for. They'll also be a few people...
  6. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Can't answer for the irony, all my emails were answered that day. There's no one to email for Ford.
  7. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

$65k for the Rivian and $75K for the Lariat XL ER(?). There's a price list up somewhere and for the 300 mile F150 the config I picked was $75. The Rivian covers a of the same options standard AWD, 314 mile range, 11k tow, 1700 payload. Nice part of the Rivian reservation is you config the...
  8. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Going more by their next day responses to my emails. They are big on communication. "As far as a rough estimate for now, I can tell you that any recently place pre orders can expect delivery after 2022". I'm in '24 with local Ford dealer so I'd expect to see the Rivian before the F150...
  9. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

The reservation was a reality and reservations are just that, first to reserve, first to get. Ford should have announced that it was not a reservation at all and that making a reservation had no relationship to when you got a car.
  10. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Wonder why I tried to buy an F150EV and failing that put $1k down on a Rivian?
  11. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Ford dealer told me I'm 35/25 and '24 so I ordered a Rivian. Same tow and payload as F150EV and a bit more range so not sure why you'd say that. It's a bit shorter but $10k less and comes with a $600 bed cover. I wanted to give Ford a boost for its commitment to EV's and I probably did by...
  12. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Glad you admit there are no reservations.
  13. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Not for those who made reservations. First day depositor who is '24 at best per dealer. Doesn't get more dishonest than that. Best one can say is Ford used customers for a PR stunt. At least it helped move EV's forward as those willing to risk it early on the F150EV generated enough interest...
  14. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

It is bad business to be unethical and dishonest with customers who were sold a reservation, used them to trumpet the demand for the vehicle for which Ford will now not honor the reservations.
  15. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Which has what to do with Ford failed "reservations"? My 2019 looks great and has been largely maintenance free in 75,000 miles. A lot of fixes in first year but after that, reliable car. But Tesla was honest with customers on delivery which Ford has not been, this topic.

Pickups that can tow 11k with 300 mile range. Rivian is a little smaller which is a plus for me living in the city but competitive enough that Rivian does everything I need a pickup to do. Other than smaller bed don't see much difference. Rivian comes standard with the tonneau cover and...
  17. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Who the heck knows. Not like Ford was transparent on the non-reservation reservation. A pre-existing policy apparently but the 5(?) per dealer number is just part of the problem. Ford's allocation to dealers makes it a game of chance for customers. A dealer who only gets 5, would never...
  18. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

But that is not the case, per Ford 15,000 people per year can jump the line and if I'm at the "wrong" dealer, I'll never get one.
  19. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

A reservation does...ergo the term RESERVE. Rivian is 20" shorter with same tow capacity so that's another plus.
  20. Invited After Transferring to ZEV State Dealer

Then don't have reservations. It is that simple. It's either a reservation or not. Just made $1k reservation on Rivian which will be $10k cheaper and which...shocker...delivers in reservation order. Be interesting to see how Ford does vs. Rivian.
