I am surprised also. One of the stored codes did indicate a control unit on the rear motor communication issue and the part isn’t available separately.
I still think it’s a software or programming issue.
They have tried updating the modules but I think that would only update them to the stores...
Bought from Pullman WA dealer and I think for the most part they are doing what they can.
Unfortunately most of the waiting has been on Ford field service engineer. Waited around 30 days to hear back from them before they could proceed with next steps.
They have tried updates on the modules...
Well, truck is not fixed.
Rear motor replacement did nothing but waste a reportedly 8k part.
Codes are back and 1 pedal is still non-op.
I’m at my wits end with this thing.
Well, just spoke with service advisor and its looking good.
He says they have been test driving it and 1 pedal works and codes are gone.
Cautiously optimistic for now.
I'll post the codes and info when I get it.
Thought I’d post a pic of rear motor out of the truck. I couldn’t find any posts of this having been done before.
Rear motor is being replaced in attempt to fix my 1 pedal drive fault.
Apparently the module in question doesn’t come separate and the entire assembly gets replaced. ??
I postulated this question just the other day. People suck and alot of chargers are in sketchy locations.
I'm more concerned about losing my adapter so a meth head can pawn it, than I am about being unplugged.
I may look into relocating my release button.
Guess I just wonder if we should be concerned for our adapters with Tesla opening to more OEMs.
might be easier to modify my adapters similar to to this one:
that at least locks it onto the cable.
Musing about relocating the block button to prevent theft of my adapters.
My cheap tesla destination adapter has a lock but the DC fast adapters don’t.
Has anyone done this or thought about it ?
Haven’t tried changing anything with Forscan yet, only bought it to try and diagnose/ fix this issue.
At this point kind of afraid I’d make things worse.
Thought I’d share the latest in my saga of 1 pedal drive fault and L2 charging issues.
My charging issue was the FCSP, which had a fault. I’ve never been able to connect to it until now and I toggled the charge amperage which cleared the fault.
It was a separate issue from the 1 pedal...
Guess they gave up estimating when mine would ship. Was originally August, pushed to September.
Now next year…
Glad I bought an A2Z in May rather than waiting.
Not unhappy with my FCSP, which was included with my Lariat ER. Wired it myself (wire cost $350 because copper is worth more than gold).
Do hope Ford bypasses Sunrun tho since that process to get the charger was awkward at best...
Does the connected charger have the CCS pins ? would be nice to...
Sorry but they didn’t help me much at all.
“….take the truck to the dealership for help.”
uh yeah, um well thanks I guess.
Not bitter about it though lol
I have yeah.
Its been at the dealer for weeks now. Supposedly waiting on Ford field engineer.
Sad to say but if they can't figure it out soon I'm going to have to look at buyback.
Can't afford to have a 90K truck I can't drive.
I've been able find a work around to get 1 pedal to work by starting in accessory and toggling it on and off, but level 2 charging is sucking big time at 1.9 kw.
beginning to think I need the SODM update that Ford wont release...
