Not yet... Been slammed with work and won't have time to do anything until a couple months from now. Also picked up a 2nd Excursion, so I've been a bit distracted getting that cleaned up.
This is still high on my list for the lightning though...
We had a "storm of the century" in my city that brought snow to an area better known for our surf and warm beaches(Santa Cruz, CA). I headed up to the hills with the lightning and was honestly shocked at how well it did. Zero traction issues, 100% planted and confident even in wet/icy snow. I've...
Any new vehicle isn't a good long term investment. That said, I think the resale market is still relatively strong. The latest XLT to sell on eBay closed for $63K and was almost a year old. Based on what I can tell, it sold for more than it's MSRP.
The market for these vehicles is greatly...
Washed it for the first time since getting it ceramic coated. It’s amazing how the dirt just flows off. I put a ceramic fabric protector on all the seats to try and keep them in good shape. I used chemical guys hydro thread, which was easy to apply and seems to repel water quite well now that...
I've found ABRP within 1-2% accurate on my SR truck. Use their CarPlay NAV and it'll say what it thought your truck would be at on the drive and you can compare it to actual. If there is a difference between those two values half way through the trip, slow down to conserve. If it's tracking to...
I wouldn't be concerned as I'm confident that Ford will make it right if there is a battery issue with your new truck. I have 3000 miles on my truck that I picked up right around Christmas and have had zero real issues(other than OTA connectivity).
It seems like this is all we need to do. My biggest hesitation is installing the parts and removing the front bumper trim. I've done this plenty of times on my raptor, but there are far fewer wires/sensors. Also the raptor gets beat to hell off-road, so you'd never notice if I scratched anything...
From what I've gathered, we need the following to make it work:
Sensor Assembly: ML3Z-9E731-G
Mounting Bolts(3x): W720714S450B
Wiring Harness: ML3Z-15K867-NA
The total cost is just under $600 from most ford parts shops. l've very tempted to pull the trigger on this, but a bit nervous as I'm...
As someone that works in the industry(advertising), this is a very well done and clever ad designed to get attention and push some buttons. As someone who's interested in EVs, it's worthless as it says nothing about the actual product. It's good to see a more reasonable looking RAM EV though...
It's similar to waxing a vehicle but you use a much harder coating that lasts longer. The coating they applied on my truck should last 3 years before it'll need to touched up and around 7 years before replacing it. I've had it on my X5M for 3 years and the paint still looks new after 20k miles...
It looks like I need the Metra 82-5607 speaker bracket adapter in order to install a standard 6.5" speaker in the front doors.

Thank you for the info! Have you replaced your front speakers as well? I ordered 4x of the infinity speakers as I figured having a matching set wouldn't be a bad thing.
I ordered the speakers you mentioned in your other post and the wiring adapters/harnesses. Did you have to get any spacer rings or other adapters to attach the Infinity speakers or will they just bolt right up?
This thread is amazing, thanks for all the info!
I have a 2023 XLT with the 360 cam and tow packages. I'm hoping to add lane centering and ACC. From what I can tell, I need the following:
Wiring Harness: ML3Z-15K867-NA
CCM: ML3Z-9E731-B
Switch: SW-7449
Beyond the parts, what is involved in...
I also lost connection yesterday morning for the 3rd time since owning the truck for a month. The first time I resolved it by unplugging the 12v battery. The 2nd time it resolved itself in about 2 days. I was going to wait this out and see if it'll update, but I might not be patient enough for...
Mine had anti-seize but were incredibly tight. It took a 24" breaker bar and a lot of bodyweight to get them out. I thought for sure I was breaking something...
