That is exactly what is happening to me right now. I was supposed to take my truck home tonight but my dealer refused up front price protection that is in my ford online agreement when I go to complete my purchase.

I wouldn’t want to slam them or say anything negative until after I get the price protection reimbursement—if I’m forced to go that route. I’m sure they’d love to make things difficult for me if I happen to say some not nice things about their process.

I don’t think I’d let the tax rebate get compromised because of this, as I really do want the truck. But it’s unfortunate that we’re basically being held hostage because if we don’t agree to their ransom demands they will gladly make a $20,000 dollar profit if I say I don’t want it.
