Just my 2 cents worth. I do like and enjoy how we are able to learn all the factors and results listed in this forum, but it also leads me to wonder...could it seem to be getting too technical and more complex or are we overthinking more than likely the majority of the folks involved here would...
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it appears the Standard Range's (SR) are getting a bit better mi/kwh than the Extended Ranges (ER). Probably due to weight.
It seems to me like the 1.5 mi/kwh is about normal for anything at freezing or below. With any software updates over the past year, I wonder if Ford updated some algorithms to make a more true mi/kwh with all the data they collect...?
Having owned an ER in Iowa for 22 months, this shows you will be charging more than driving...? If it were me, I would take the ICE so you don't need to worry about the ice temps as much. You get wind and your 1.7 will drop to 1.2.
Ouch. That is not nice to hear...or see. That truck is exactly like mine. I'm betting the damage is $12-$15K minimum. We have to hope this doesn't create a huge safety recall. Any bets on the Ford rep on this forum is looking into it now with the highest priority possible? :(
I would tend to agree. Find a way for Ford and/or the dealer to put 4 different tires on it and then test it. If that is not it, it would at least eliminate that assumption.
This has all been said already, but just to confirm my experience. 131 x 2.2 = 288. Congratulations! If you are in Florida, so you will likely stay above 2.0 unless you are towing or go over 65 mph. Up north I never see 2.0 unless I am driving around town or going with a strong wind. My...
I just lightly scanned this thread, but I'm assuming they tried a software reinstall or fix? I would think there would be a sensor somewhere too which I'm sure they checked.
It's like the onboard bed scales are calculating a high weight in the bed. Oh wait, most of us never did get bed scales, so we have no idea how they work. :)
Yes, always being able to charge at home and not needing to drive or tow over your EV range each day makes EV ownership a no-question decision, especially at only a $.056 cost per KWh. I may be mistaken, but most areas are not that cheap though. I have fortunately only ever had to charge at...
Pretty tough to give up the highest model Lightning with a very popular color and the exceptionally rare power running boards, etc, etc which cost new well over $100K for its current book value of 1/2 of that. Figured at 20k miles. Just sayin. :D
On our last 4 vehicles, we bought an extended warranty and even extended the extended warranty on 2 of the vehicles. The warranties easily paid for themselves. 1 of them was a 2013 Ford F150 Platinum and the other was a 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel. Obviously, we hung onto them for a long time...
I'm betting most of those sensors are not there yet to even have pushed to the app. Those are nice on the Grand Highlander though. At least the Lighting has the Speed Sign Recognition or Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA). That is one of the coolest features of the Lighting. I wish the Grand...
The Ford Home Integration System for the Ford Lightning has been oversold as a game-changing feature, but in reality, it’s more of a novelty than a necessity for most owners. While the idea of using the truck as a backup power source for your home is intriguing, the actual practical use of it...
I had something like that a few weeks ago on the Ford app. It wouldn't save my target charge at home. I believe I shut my phone all the way off and turned it back on. I did play with several settings so that may not be the resolve for you since I tried so many things. I always charge it to...
