  1. My Goal: to never pay for charging (Solar) -- my automation process

I am on Tesla Electric here in Texas they created their own electric company because we have electric choice in a majority of the state. Here they pay $400 per power wall per year, but they get to use 75% of the power wall. Basically, they manage the power wall. If you have four of them that was...

  3. Vehicle won't turn on, forscan won't connect, cannot fix, looking for advice

Yeah, that was from snowmageddon a few years ago. I think that video was in Fort Worth. Many people here do not know how to drive when it ices or snows or both! My vehicle has no problem going 60-80mph…. then realize they need to stop-duh? …or what black ice is! … A little common sense goes a...
  4. I’m Concerned My Lightning Has Left Me Jaded.

Well, you do have to rotate your tires every 10,000 miles and change the cabin air filter-??? Oh yeah, no way I’m going back. They will have to pry it from my warm(Heated steering wheel and seats) dead hands!
  5. January Lease Deal $7,500 bonus cash

The only problem I have with a lease is the miles! RCL usually has a low annual mileage allotment.
  6. My Goal: to never pay for charging (Solar) -- my automation process

If you are in a co-op, you should not really be dealing with ERCOT?? But also don’t have choice! I know the math doesn’t necessarily make sense at current electricity rates and I am not in a co-op in North Texas so I don’t know how their rates have changed over the last few years, but...
  7. Snow to Sand and back…. 4,759 miles

Buc-ee’s is from Texas… they say everything is bigger in Texas! I have also found them to be one of the better charging locations. They have tons of stalls and usually have Tesla plus at least one other brand DCFC. I stopped at the one in Melissa Texas the other night and they have added V4...

  12. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

It has the same specs as the VCM 3 So I would assume it is as fast as that, however I had already done all my updates with my Autel so I have no idea? I’ve never really been hoping that I had to do more updates but of course now I am so I can see how fast it is???
  13. Chargers on the Ford website also offers replacement parts

FYI I installed 17.64 kW Rec pure alpha (I don’t remember the exact panel but they are one of the best available)and one powerwall 3 for half of your lowest quote! Mine is about half rooftop and half on the pergola/ground mount.
  14. Chargers on the Ford website also offers replacement parts

That is absolutely insane unless they’re installing gold plated panels!??? Have you tried Tesla? I don’t think they will do the ground mount though. Have you thought about putting them on your workshop?
  15. Chargers on the Ford website also offers replacement parts

What kind of quotes are you getting ballpark? I guess we have an advantage as we are in a mostly sunny state (Texas) and a gazillion installers! I forgot you said ground mount, Many of the installers that I spoke with either would not do it or wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Luckily, I...
  16. My Goal: to never pay for charging (Solar) -- my automation process

Yeah, our electric prices used to be cheap(I guess they still are relative to some other states), but the state government got involved to fix the grid after snowmageddon shut down the whole state. Now prices are just increasing each year. That is mostly why I installed solar!
  17. Chargers on the Ford website also offers replacement parts

20kWh of battery back up can be very expensive depending on who you go with! Don’t know if you have tried using energysage.com to get quotes?

  19. Chargers on the Ford website also offers replacement parts

I think a lot of people would like to have the home back up! I think the main problem is the cost of the system not to mention the problems people have had getting it to work and keeping it working. I think in the future, you will want the 80 amp and I would imagine they will design one with the...
