I think you're right. Most new cars come with a sealant on the surface. A conditioner wouldn't get to the leather, so it would be a waste (if not a mess).
@Mr Baloo -
I received my new platty about 2 weeks ago and really like the black leather interior. Within a week, I applied a...

I ended up grabbing a dealers stock truck and cancelling my Jan 2nd order, as it would have been sitting on a lot for over 7 months, idle. (The dealer truck I found was 800 miles away, in NC.) It had the colors and most of my important features but not a spray-in liner.
The...

To @UNIKRN150 ās point, DS you mean leveling (polishing) or paint correction (with compound or a 2-in-1)? I assume you meant either or both but only as-needed.
And, since black is typically the softest paint, I assume thereās a higher probability of needing paint...
I originally intended to buy a Limited in Antimatter Blue but ultimately chose instead to go for a Platinum in Smoked Quartz and the Special Black interior. I can't wait!

Thanks for the great review! 'Love to see DIY'ers getting it done. It sounds like you did your homework and made are seeing the fruits of your labors. Well done!
I purchased my paint- (and leather- and plastic- and glass-) protection products months ago and am among the tens of...
Based on your comments and the gorgeous photos of your Smoked Quartz truck, its clear that you know your stuff. Are you a professional Detailer? Given how perfect it looks, and that it took you only 6 hours to prep/correct/apply the Ceramic Coating, leads me to conclude you are. (Either that...
My personal experience is limited to Waxes, Sealers, and Hybrid Ceramic Waxes.
That said, I have already purchased the ceramic coat prepping and coating products that I intend to apply to my truck. I canāt tell you how many Detailer videoās Iāve seen to fill the time waiting. Lots of good...
@Lpetters84,
First, I definitely agree with @NumbersGuy. Armor All leaves a greasy film on your leather and also leaves a greasy film on your windshield as it off-gasses. Not good.
Second, unlike older vehicles, which did need to be conditioned, all modern leather car seats now come with a...

First of all, beautiful truck! I am sure your are very pleased with it.
I am waiting for a Platinum PowerBoost in SQ and have been considering the same question (Blitz's). I am leaning toward the Platinum color, as I believe it will complement the truck's grill without looking...
Thank you for the response, Trigger Dad. ;)
Very helpful. I don't expect to tow much so will take your advice and go with 35 psi.
(I will still covet your KR wheels over my Platinum wheels, though.)
@Cconnss -
By any chance do you have a link to where you got these? A Part number perhaps? (I looked on Amazon but there seem to be many different variants and colors to choose from). Thx!
I'd never heard of or seen these before last week. Then I saw them on a PowerBoost in my dealer's showroom - and came away impressed. Subtle and low-profile but still functional.

Thanks for sharing these pics! I definitely like the look of these 285/65 R20 KO2's and am happy to hear there's no rubbing - even before the Levelling. I'd love to hear your assessment of road noise from them, as I have heard conflicting opinions. (I already plan...
@RamblinMan,
āLove the idea of the leaf blower. I have that DeWalt 60v blower but havenāt tried to dry a vehicle.
One other really good idea is to use a very thirsty Towel. The Rag Company makes one called āThe Gauntletā. Itās really fast. This weekend I dried an entire Explorer with just 1...
I am planning on getting a simple 2" Level Kit but started looking into a couple of these more substantial kits, with shocks and coilovers.
Question:
Are these a substantial upgrade over and above what comes with the FX4 Package? I believe this has upgraded shocks from the stock truck...
