  1. Towing thoughts/questions

I really hope not. I just picked up a 21 model S, and would hate to share my charger with my own F150 Lightning lol!
  2. Towing thoughts/questions

So on the Payload topic, max payload is 2100lbs on my F150, but my sticker is 1729lbs on the Lariat trim 4x4 SCREW 3.5 Max tow. Note, i did not equip anything extra (ie FX4/twin roof/power tailgate) to increase my payload. so if assume there is a 400lb penalty to equip it similar to my BASIC...
  3. Towing thoughts/questions

I really want to know the payload. I have a lariet 502a 3.5L Max tow, wtih a payload of 1729lbs which is just enough to pull my 7000lb GVWR and my family in the cab. But honestly, even if it could tow, quesiton is how much of a range hit? The Charge network is NO WHERE NEAR Tesla.
  4. Trailer brake not working

Took out the RV today for the first time since August 29th .. Went for an over night trip to winterizing, wash/wax etc . Low and behold, trailer brakes work perfectly all day, and al thorugh the drive. No issues at all. The only explanation for this is the temperature.. It is much cooler...
  5. Alex On Autos F-150 Lightning Review from Ford Event

I have a deposit on the Cybertruck and teh Lightning. Only had my F150 2 months but would love to have an electric truck. Question is, how much payload/tow capacity does the Lightning have REAL WORLD. My truck as 1729lbs payload and can comfortable tow my 30' Jayco with 7000lbs GVWR. Wonder...
  6. Trailer brake not working

Spoke to my dealer after my first oil change. cannot believe i put on over 8,000kms in 1.5 months on my truck (5000kms as towing my 30' 7000lb jayco).. They have no clue what i am talking about.
  7. 2021 F-150 Payload Stickers

Payload: 1729 - VERY happy about this number consdiering i didnt want an XLT. 2021 Lariet 5.5 Bed, SCREW - Max tow, tow mirrors, 3.5L Ecoboost, 20" Wheels, 2kw pro power, plastic bedliner, 360 camera, 502A Package I was VERY VERY selective on the options, even declined options they would...
  8. What can be done to improve B&O system? (non-unleashed)

THis is because the rear speaker is designed for ambience instead of having main content played through. This is OKAY for a coupe but in a supercrew designed for 5 people, this is terrible. I read this is the way it is with older F150's as well. This really sucks as i wanted my kids to watch...
  9. Trailer brake not working

I agree, i also tried many different combinations. I also got no warning taht the trailer brakes STOPPED working, when it was working at teh beginning of the drive. VERY dangerous, and the fact that it is happening to many of us makes me believe it is defintely software or some electrical issue.
  10. Trailer brake not working

Just took my truck (3.5L Ecoboost Lariet) and my Jayco 267BHS 2021 on a 4400km road trip over the last two weeks. I noticed over the last several days i have the same exact issue.. NOte this is a brand new truck (picked up July 31st) and brand new RV (picked up August 2021). IN the beginning...
  11. +1000W to 2.4Kw ProPower - PowerBoost

So bad news i installed the micro-air 2 weeks ago before my long trip. Plugged it into the F150. Oddly, it AC starts to run, then when the comrpessor tries to kick in, AC turns off then back on (fan only). Every time the compressor kicks in it turns off and on again. F150 never shows...
  12. +1000W to 2.4Kw ProPower - PowerBoost

No it is not a hard start capacitor. IN fact it is actually logic driven. On the Micro-air you need to train it to learn how the compressor starts.
  13. +1000W to 2.4Kw ProPower - PowerBoost

I have the exact same AC as you on my brand new 21 Jayco 267BHS.. Cant wait to install it!!
  14. +1000W to 2.4Kw ProPower - PowerBoost

This is fantastic info. I have a 2kw Ecoboost Gas F150, and i have my micro-air easy start but have not yet installed it yet (hopefully this weekend). I am really hoping i can get my AC working off of the F150 which will make those pit stops a lot easier to deal with !!
  15. Propower 2kw + 3.5L Ecoboost (nonhybrid)

Thats what i thoought. There is 2 alternators, and there is also 2 batteries located in teh passenger side rear (long invertor is on the left side rear). I havent read the manual yet, but there is osmething called generator mode. Not clear what htis does.
  16. Propower 2kw + 3.5L Ecoboost (nonhybrid)

Are you sure about that? I thought you had to keep the engine running all the time. This is on a NON-Hybrid 2kw system. Re: RV, does it matter if it is an open ground? Our 2KW is a floating neutral. I am praying that i can run the AC with the easy start sitting (yet to be installed)!
  17. Propower 2kw + 3.5L Ecoboost (nonhybrid)

All, I tested my F150 3.5 Ecoboost + 2kw and plugged in a generator bonding plug. Immediately it triggers a ground fault, so that is a no go!! Regardless, i couldnt remember why i was trying to use a bonding plug. I think this was because we were trying to use an EMS surge protector which...
  18. Answers & Info From F-150 Lightning Event. 300 mile range with 1000 lbs payload confirmed

Thank you for the info! Very exciting! Really would like to see what the payload would be on a typical mid grade Lariat, and impact to range when towing. Based on how the model X reacted with a towing, range is cut by more than half!
  19. "EVs require less maintenance" … oh really … : )

Prior to my F150, had a 2018 Nissan Leaf SL, put on about 30,000kms in total (very low mileage). Total cost of ownership for 3 years lease = $0.00.. Not even joking about that. Just went in for one battery inspection but never brought it in for ANYTHING!... Was the car perfect? no, but i...
