This might be a stupid question, but...
Why would this scenario (essentially a battery backup) be required to adhere to the NEC code focused on generators, when there's specifically sections that relate to Energy Storage Systems that directly talk about battery storage systems (NEC 706)?
The overall cost is a real bummer TBH.
I wish instead of the proprietary Sunrun install, they'd gone a different direction - build a Ford-branded automatic transfer switch that I can get any qualified electrician to install in-line with the FCSP (and perhaps a communications cable between...
The only issue I had the other morning was that the cowling below the windshield (where the wiper arms sit) formed a giant block of ice, locking the wipers from rotating. Leaving the defrost on max for 20 mins loosened it (just) enough that I was able to use a scraper to lever the ice out.
It makes sense - the system doesn't know it's a test or a real fault, it just reacts because the GFCI was tripped. You'll see the same message if you use a standard GFCI outlet tester (or a paperclip) to perform the test, rather than the test button.
In an ideal world this is the best process -...
I mean the issue with the 'charging extra at high demand sites' is that by sites in high demand are (by definition) less likely to have alternative charging sites close - which is why people could be trying to squeeze any charge they can out.
I was in this position over Christmas during a trip...
You have a ground fault because you pressed the 'Test' button to trigger a ground fault. It's just a GFCI - you need to reset it for the outlets to work again.
Why though? It's only because of the limitations of charging networks and range that we need to know these things in detail. How important is it for the average person top know how many gallons of gas their ICE cars take? Not important at all - the light comes on and the gauge drops, then they...
Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg has been good to me. The sales process was great with no markup BS. The service (for recalls and CSPs) has left a little to be desired, but most of this is down to parts availability rather than the dealer themselves.
Basically anything else that runs on electricity in the truck, except the AC and the cabin heater (which are 'climate') and any battery temp controls (which are 'exterior temp'). Accessories includes cabin fans, lights, dashboard, entertainment, hotspot, power outlets, screens, etc.
EDIT: Just...
Got this one this afternoon. Similar to other people - got 6.2 about 10 days ago, 6.4 a week ago, and this one today. Seems like the update frequency is starting to ramp up which is good!
Ha I'm not either, but now the light has been shined on the lie, rather than just 'Oh well we kinda thought everyone knew that'.
Like @jefrank said, it sounds like we'll see tighter restrictions on when 'Autopilot' can be engaged, like we have on most other vehicles with similar capabilities...
To me the bigger news is this 'admittance' from Tesla (in quotes because it sounds like it might be buried in a footnote in the user guide?)
As someone who is interested in EVs but doesn't own a Tesla, this is absolutely not how Autopilot is marketed or portrayed.
Keep in mind that some tire/wheel combos have a higher stock pressure on some models - rely on the door sticker for the reference PSI rather than this forum.
