Checking back in. I guess it was too good to be true. I was driving around Charleston today and it was stuttering even with WiFi off. I guess back to the drawing board. The only thing I have not tried is using wired CarPlay.
This is one of the scenarios I tried, thinking perhaps it was the notification settings, but it stuttered. When I flip the WiFi switch shown to off everything works and Siri is clear as a bell.
Update I found the only way to make the choppy audio go away was to turn off WiFi altogether. I can keep the hotspot on just fine, but if I turn on WiFi and connect my truck to my network, audio is choppy. Additionally having WiFi on while driving causes the same choppiness when I am around...
I have had the choppy audio issue with CarPlay for a while now. At certain places on any given trip, Siri stutters her directions and audio is choppy. I can consistently get this issue when starting a route from my driveway.
I have had all of the module updates prescribed by the various TSB’s...
After reading this thread, I ordered and got the missing part and installed it today. This could not be easier. A few tips to help anyone struggling through it.
1. I was able to get the control panel with sunroof controls down without a pry tool. I opened the sunglass holder and pulled down...
I run a PMBC-100 which holds up to the most arduous flash sessions without a major battery dip. I have had no trouble with their power supplies other than stickers coming off. They just work well.
Interesting. I noticed all of these module updates and performed them this weekend via FDRS. Note I have never had the wrench symbol. There was an ABS update that was tied into it as well.
I have a bunch of modules to do today. I am going to start tracking the versions of the modules that never drop off to see if they increment.
Love the user name BTW
Nothing but it is annoying to go back in within a few months and still see it there. Then I must decide if I need to apply it unnecessarily again, wasting time.
For a few months now FDRS shows updates for ACM and RFA even though I have successfully installed them a few times. As other have mentioned they never leave your list of updates.
Does anyone have any idea of how to get past this. Would a PMI of the module without changing it out help?
Yes I got the front sensor CSP originally when it first came out outside of the CSP and the dealer did the updates without being on a power supply and toasted my 12 volt battery. So they ended up replacing it. Last month I used FDRS and updated all of my additional modules that said needed...
Not on EAP and I have not had any updates since last fall. Today BC1.4 came in but when I manually installed it, it said my battery was too low. Sigh. I put it on my power supply I use with FDRS (High Amp) and it went through.
Seriously, this weak 12volt battery is getting OLD very fast. I hate...
I am away and can’t check my vehicle, but I had a few questions.
Did you select only Tesla Supercharger in the Apple Maps vehicle settings?
For Plug Type, does it show NACS in the list now or still only J1772, CCS1?
How systemic is this problem? Reading this thread has me scared of this happening to my 23 Lariat built around the same time.
For those who have experienced this failure, when you come to a stop to get out of the vehicle do you always put on the safety brake or do you just let the truck roll...
That’s what I was going for. Also sorry about that. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that not everybody is in the same headspace and engaged with this at the same level. The post was more for those who actively use the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) to update modules in their truck. The...
