Doesn't sway my decision, but I'm salty that I won't get the full credit because my truck was wrapped up in the bad battery nonsense. Sucks that a truck I should have completed my purchase of several months ago is going to cost me $3750 more because Ford chose a battery manufacturer that doesn't...
In other news looks like Treasury is finally going to getting out their final guidance, just in time to cut the expected tax credit on my truck by $3750. One more reason I'm salty about this whole situation. Still a great deal on the truck, but being out $3750 still blows (especially if my truck...
My Pro went into production 1/13, but didn't have a built status till 1/22. It also seems that the recall report is only addressing the 18 trucks that made it into customer hands, but it's entirely possible that the final week of production before the stop (build week of 1/30) would be affected...

Great bit of info in the actual report that the suspect production window is Jan 20-Jan 26 for the recalled trucks. I wonder how large the production window is for ALL the vehicles they’ll be replacing battery packs for, and how many...
Root cause of the fire, recall, and our delays has been released. They must be real pissed at the battery supplier!

Just that with the re-start at the factories they'll be sending any excess battery production to "fix" the recalled trucks (and presumably ours as well). April is just the next estimated delivery date for me, but unless the battery production is outpacing truck production by a decent margin I'm...
Gonna be exciting when one of us actually takes delivery of a truck post hold, let’s all hope that early April is really an accurate estimate. I’ll believe it when I see it!
Where'd you see reporting on that? Since my date slipped into April now, my guess is that if a technician did come out it would only have been to diagnose if there was a problem. The fix is gonna be a long time coming if they are waiting on new battery packs with the updated manufacturing...
Article doesn’t mention all the trucks sitting in lots that didn’t make it to customers. Sounds like we are all getting new batteries, I’m guessing this wait is going to be LONG.
I have a feeling it's going to be a LONG time before we see our trucks if we have to get in line behind new production for updated battery components (if they are indeed going to be replacing something that may be defective). This is all such a shit show.
I'm in the exact same situation. Wanted a PRO, order got bumped, finally ordered, and wouldn't you know it we're in the small group of Lightnings that apparently are either at risk of self immolation or are just being held for liability reasons.
