Thanks! This was hugely helpful. After 2 months claiming they did what they obviously didn’t do, a screen shot showing my EV credit lacking on this IRS site was what it finally took to get the dealer to file in the portal. They got a “Pending Review” response. Anyone have an idea how long that...
What they sent me is their handwritten version. It’s pretty clear that they screwed up the process. It’s surprising that they haven’t figured that out because it’s a big dealership that sells a lot of cars. I have them working on it. Hopefully, they will sort it out.
I have the form, but there’s no guarantee they submitted it in the 3-day window. I sent them the link to npr story with a suggestion that if they missed that window this is their chance to redeem themselves.
Tried to e-file in early March and it was rejected. Contacted the dealer who insists they filed the paperwork (probably didn’t) and sent me copies. Repeatedly rejected on e-file. So, I did a paper file with copies of everything. I guess I will know in September when they finally get around to my...
Everyone wants a truck but not everyone needs a truck. It sounds like you may eventually need a bigger care for a growing family. If you want to stay electric, then check out the Toyota bZ4X. Likely, holds its value a bit better but lower range than your mustang. It also sounds like this is not...
Kick your son out and tell him to walk the next time he ogles a CyberYuk. If I could go back, I’d have waited a few months for a 2024 with heat pump. When on an occasional road trip, I think “the ER and adaptive cruise sure would be nice,” but that’s so seldom it isn’t worth the extra cost.
We drive a RAV4 Prime and Ford Lightning. If Toyota made a Prime truck, I would be driving that rather than the Lightning. All the benefits of EV on local miles without the restrictions on the highway, plus the superior resale value of a Toyota. If the merger brings more and improved engineering...
Part of the joy of driving an electric vehicle (for me) is being more engaged with it. I enjoy doing the “on-the-fly math,” and it is probably holding dementia at bay for now. If you don’t like doing it in your head, then ask Siri or Alexa to do it for you. Of course you have to mentally keep...
