I am curious what small highways it works on. In my area here in Texas, BlueCruise is not available on many of the main highways in East Texas. In most of my drives on the highway, it is only available about 50% of the time. Where as in my Tesla, it is available on 100% of the roads I drive...
1000000% Agree here. As I tell people, Hybrids and especially Plug-in Hybrids are the worst of both worlds. The gains in efficiencies are minimal, yet you have all of the downsides of both platforms with ICE emissions, Oil changes, mechanical complexities, etc.
I get all of the concerns...
Ha! Definitely gave her a bit of coaching moving forward, but refrained from an all out rant. She had been trying to convince me to "give" her the truck when hers died, but that did not happen.
Looking to sell my 22" platinum wheels with lots of tread left and even wear on the tires. They had less than 17k miles on them. 2 of the wheels are curbed. That is what I get for letting my daughter drive my truck. In the photos, the top 2 bumped a curb and have surface damage. Contact me...
This is why the big OEMs are failing to gain significant market share. In order to navigate to a charging station, pre-condition the battery, etc, you must pay an extra fee. Finding a charging station is different from finding a gas station, but the OEMs do not understand that...
Whole heartedly agree. I am still on PU 6.8. I had an update failure end of August, nothing since. been at the dealer to update all of the modules, but no luck on anything since.
I have and the dealerships I have gone to here in Houston do not care. I reach out to the dealer and they say they cannot help, they tell me to talk to Ford, talk to Ford, they tell me the dealer can take care of it.
Original Platinum without markup, Spray in bed liner with destination was...
I don’t ever expect an OTA again on my truck. Two and a half years of ownership, empty promises, poor dealership support, changes in BlueCruise from purchase to subscription AFTER my vehicle purchase, and no OTA updates in 6+ months, why would anyone believe such a simple update would come to...
mine just says BlueCruise...no version, no time limit...I thought when I bought my $90k+ truck that it was a feature, not a subscription. but, as I have said before, I dont really see a use for it. Even on the open road, it has been terrible for me. Again, case study of 1.
what does BlueCruise really offer other than a glorified lane keep assist that disengages while in curves of a highway, ping pongs in the lane, cannot effectively react to vehicles in front.
Maybe mine is just not functioning, but my dealer has been unable to help. Being stuck on 1.0 since...
my 2022 just states BlueCruise. There is no note about it being trial or expiring, but it also does not call out the connected built in navigation or Alexa as a trial. The products are useless anyway.
I am still on original BlueCruise, but as I hear what 1.4 offers, I still do not see that as...
this is me as well. Mine expires in a few months. I am not purchasing glorified lane keep assist. BC for me has not been an added value. The constant yelling at me when I put my drink back in the cup holder, or check my side mirrors for more than a glance, ping ponging in the lane when...
The key you call out is you have to decide Tesla App or Plug N Charge prior to plugging in. steps above are key.
What I have found, no matter which adapter I use, I have to lean into the plug a bit until you hear the charger "click" in. usually within a few seconds of plugging in. Once it...
My issue with Hybrids and REX as I describe it, it is the worst of both worlds. A battery under powered, pushing extra weight, still needs oil changes and maintenance, and a motor that is under powered that causes strain when in use. If you are not using the REX that often then you end up...
for those with a 3D printer and the Tesla provided adapter, this was designed by @shoopg on this forum who deserves the credit. I have printed it myself, added a little felt to the inside, and it works great.

I was going to say this. Having driving many EVs as rentals and an owner. I am most happy with Ford and Tesla. Rivian was great, but the interior was a bit tight in the shoulders for me as I am a larger human than most. Also, as a Tesla owner, you will never want for software updates. they...
My new favorite on this screen is the Action Required for a service update...no option to see what it is, but we will let you book a visit...I also have the Action Recommended for Tires I think...but, my tires are inflated to the recommended levels and only have 6k miles on them...
I will say...
never going back to ICE again either. I have been on the bandwagon for many years. Have owned Lightning, Model Y, Model S and Rivian R1S. Have driven Mach-E, Ionic 5, EV 6, Mercedes EQS, Silverado EV, and several more. The lightning is far better than the Cheaprolet Silverado EV. It handles...
In my platinum, i get 3 different sounds at varying times when starting. I usually get a startup tone that sounds distinctly different than the high pitched do-da-do, then, sometimes I get a completely different sound like a wha-paaa sound like a wind up and a slap on a snare drum.
After the...
