I have some other threads where I discuss working through the hvac experience vs what the car offers (which is different than my Mache).
They just replaced the blower motor. Heating is better. I also just changed the cabin air filter.
The issue seems to be more about when it decides to heat...
I am wondering whether any of the tools we have access to will show us the cabin temp, which presumably would influence the hvac system.
then of course, the question is whether one can program in an offset or calibration.
Thanks.
OP Update:
After initially resisting, the dealer looked at the blower motor DTC and replaced the blower motor. They also apologized for being snarky with me about the heater having related coolant, and about there being both a heat pump and resistive heaterā¦..becauseā¦ā¦it turns out I was...
As a follow up, I went to a different dealer and sat in a 2024 lightning. Cold start. Started to feel heat in a minute. Warmth after 3 minutes and just fine (albeit not as toasty as the Mach-e) at 10 minutes. I recorded the entire experience. Fan sounded much different.
I am confident...
@TaxmanHog -
Thanks for your detailed answer on the other thread. It does blow air on max. I need to get the truck back to test that more as well as turning off auto.
I am going to check out some other ā24s this afternoon.
itās just so weird because the heating experience has been awesome...
Thanks. Will look into the device. The tested the heat at the exit point vent and it is how. Seems the heater can produce heat but does not warm the cabin.
So does the ā24 have both a heat pump and resistive heater?
Also, what is the connection between the heating system and coolant since a number of incidents were resolved by flushing the coolant?
thanks!
Yep. No issues in the rental lightnings I get when traveling, and headed to a different dealer tomorrow to try a few on the lot since I am friendly with the sales people there.
Hi. I am working with my dealer to try and resolve the issue with my 24 lightningās heat. If I precondition the car itās warm but after about 15 minutes cools off. Iām unable to maintain a reasonable constant temperature for any length of time. It often feels like cold air is blowing. Sometimes...
The problem persists. And it is intermittent. I dropped it off at the dealer yesterday, and the first response from the first tech was a bit of a flip off. Simply telling me they turned it on and it blew warm air (yet the service advisor had experienced the cold air when I dropped it off after...
Update: I have a ford appointment soon, but I think I have figured out that is is mechanical. Either blower or flap to direct air. If the heat is on Driver Focused, I get cold. If the heat is not on Driver- Focused, the cabin warms slowly, but I only feel/hear the air from the passenger side.
Thanks. So I had a version of the app that worked perfectly, with widgets that worked perfectly, but for some reason, they decided they werenāt perfect, and deleted them! Oh well, I guess thereās nothing else to do but wait.
