It showed twice: under each trim where the 4 trims are presented in 1 view
Then once I picked Lariat, it showed up at the very top left, under the rendering of the truck. I do believe the 20+ weeks is a placeholder, thus it was like "YO THIS THING WILL TAKE A WHILE!!" thinking I'm ordering a...
They all said 20+ weeks and 2022. Then when you picked any trim, there was a big notice up top saying "THIS DELIVERY WILL TAKE 20 WEEKS OR LONGER" (I'm paraphrasing, apologies, already submitted order)
Welp for anyone reading, don't wait for an email, I STILL don't have one and it's been 10 mins since I finalized my order. I wouldn't expect one if you've heard from your dealer already, go to my account --> reservations, the configure button should be there.
Went for Lariat+,
When I loaded...
My ordering is ready on the back end, just opened, no email.
EDIT: Clicking configure leads to a screen to enter zip, but no trims show up. Still getting loaded I'd guess
EDIT2: Trims loading!
EDIT3: Order placed, deposit of $500 paid
It makes sense based on the Playbook. What I mean is, the instructions say that if the trim you're selecting is unavailable, you can defer or pick another trim. This implies the gating / restriction process is in the selection/order placing.
There's no workflow path for a user selecting a trim...
My dealer's GM had called and said "ooof sorry I'm off Thursday but I'll finalize the order first thing Friday". Turns out it didn't matter :P by the time most of Wave 1 has an order in, dealerships will be closed for the night
Thanks! I'll also share with the community when I get a timeline. I'm Wave 1 as well at my dealer, and the GM at my dealer said I'm also the singular Wave 1 customer. He did mention that the #2 person, which didn't make the cut, reserved 6 minutes after me.
So far, I don't think we've...
Thanks! I just wanted to know who said it, and that makes sense. Half the news comes from my dealer's uncle's brother's mailman's milkman's cousin's dog walker, ya know? People even today are being misled by dealers regarding timeline, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't hearsay. Hype!
Could you link me to that source please? Would love to be educated. The playbook, posted on Monday, in the pinned official thread, says March! Perhaps things change? When did your source post this vs the official playbook from 4 days ago?
Doesn't matter, was just wanting to read what you read...
Source? Production starts at the end of March, and this source is the playbook posted a few days ago. Production starts at the end of Q1 CY2022, and Q1 ends at the last day of March.
I haven't seen anything about June, only "Spring" - which also starts March 20th
My dealer's GM had called Monday and said we'd finalized it all online, I'd submit the order and he can accept it remotely. We'd chat on the phone and good to go. I don't plan to drive to the dealership until he calls and says its here.
Considering 99.75% of times when the dealer is like "oh...
I got a text from Chevy dealer "I have some amazing news for you is there a good time I can reach out?" --- uuuh what?
Sure enough 30 minutes later the owner emails...please disregard any msg you got, sorry!
Same thing happened when I put in my Lightning order. These e-trucks really are...
As someone in the same boat in Wave 1, with the pick of the litter for trims, I'm now leaning towards Lariat with ER.
- The Chevy announcement today proves we're just under about 2 YEARS out from getting a non-launch edition Silverado (Fall 2023 estimate), with unknown pricing on what the 400...
They did the SAME thing as ford, except for the first edition thing. Now everyone is funneled into one "generic" $100 reservation, you don't even pick trim or anything now, and there's no additional pricing (or range information about the standard range).
Prepare for another year or so of...
