Not to sound lazy, but the tunnels are so quick and efficient. I washed by hand yesterday and it def takes a lot not time...lol Honestly I had never noticed scratches until my last truck which was that super dark Magma Red.
Thanks for the info! Lots of good advice. Ive been quoted $600....and Im not cheap, but if I can do it for a couple hundo....why not....? My thinking was since I used the tunnels, that I would be wasting money on the pro.
Im reconsidering tunnel washes now after that video above...
Honestly I have had memberships at tunnel washes for a very long time. Iām the type of person that will wash my truck two and three times a week and sometimes more LOL. I have had dark blue, black, red, But it wasnāt until my last most recent truck which was the magma red color, that you could...
Looks really nice. Do you have a link to your products? I was looking at the Chemical guys line. I understnd ceramic coatings are not an actual barrier, rather a decent element repelent, so I wouldnt mind trying it. Thing is I still use tunnel washes, so Iām just tying get do a little better...

I don't have the best pics until I get them on, but they didn't stick out bast the running board.
They were one of the first with a kit specific to the ā21ās. Also the puck includes additional components to make the alignment easier. I went that way because so many here had already installed and tested it. I also didnāt want to mess up the tech of the truck by making a ā20 kit āfitā. So...
I went +20 and from the fitment test they looked good but without too much poke that Iāll be spraying crap down the side. I posted some wheel pics in the wheel forum. Stock is a +44. I think +2 would stick out too much for me.
That is the best thing about the auto stop eliminator is that it still gives you the choice. You can simply activate the system anytime you want. Honestly I donāt understand why Ford and the other manufacturers donāt give us the same choice.
Although I greatly despise this technology, it is designed the way it is, so you donāt need to fear component failure. The technology dates back to 1974, and was more widely used in Europe in the ā80ās, and has been pretty common in the US for the last decade. Nearly every manufacturer has it...
Unfortunately I donāt have my wheels on yet, one of four was bad so Iām stuck waiting for the replacement. But I did do a fit test at Discount, and wanted to post a picture in case anybody still shopping wheels, these look pretty bad ass. It is the Fuel Rebel 6 20x9 +20 offset, anthracite with...
I did the Ready Lift 2ā level that so many have done. Dealer charged $600 installed, and thatās with an alignment. I had a 2018 F-150 that had a Tough Country 3ā lift, and this new level rides like a dream compared to that. Iām very impressed. Iām still running stock wheels and tires as 1 of...
I came from a 2018 that had Auto Stop, and the biggest issue was when you were stopped at a light and that fraction of a second from releasing the brake to hitting the gas was noticeable and sucked. Prior to installing the Autostop Eliminator on that truck, I didnāt notice any mechanical...
It's beyond me the whole auto stop tech, I have never seen where it actually saves much fuel. My 3.5 EB (2018 and 2021) has also never been even close to what's advertised economy-wise, so why bother with a minimal amount with the Auto Stop? IMHO
Get the Auto Stop eliminator. Best thing invented since they put that stupid feature on. I just installed mine last night. https://www.autostopeliminator.com/collections/most-popular/products/2021-ford-f-150-autostop-eliminator
