Do y'all feel comfortable connecting the truck with Live Data thru ABRP? Likely everyone knows everything about my life already... but I do try to limit my data sharing to absolutely needed apps. :lock:
OK, we're back to this. If just keeping the truck plugged in (without doing Departure Times) does nothing, why does @Ford Motor Company display this alert? I mean, we assume the software engineers are pulling their hair out trying to make the UX and features better, but it is confusing...
I have an https://eg4electronics.com 14 kW home backup battery/inverter system which is able to charge with either grid or my 7.8 kW solar panels (even if still grid-tied). I can feed the home battery from the ER 2023 Lightning via a generator plug in the garage. Some energy losses AC/DC but...
So that I understand - does a remote start (or getting in + starting the vehicle and just sitting there) warm the battery, or not? ... or must you be driving to generate battery warming? Thanks
Often (in cold weather) the Lightning will actually show an alert that recommends keeping the truck "plugged in" overnight. If you plan on setting a departure time or "remote" start, that should precondition cabin & battery.
As slightly different twist - In an interview, a Ford exec said that...
Although we like to say "it's not our fault" and the Chinese are using unfair trade practices, the truth is that it's mostly our fault. Read this eye-opening article to see how we have failed to keep up (and not just with solar panel production)...
Although I didn't initially recall doing this, I clicked the link, and saw this. Looks like their hours are quite restricted. Good thing that "problems" only occur M-F 10 am - 8 pm EST. :lying:

I know the SOC% thing isn't really critical but it's just one more irritation, so I get @BeeKind's vibe. The chronic irritation is kind of like that questionable tattoo your child got....always there and it keeps reminding you.
I just got 6.5 and my SOC hope was dashed (pun intended)...
FitcamX - works great but wish there was an easy external plugin to allow parked video. I know I can use fuse box adapter but didn't get that. Anyone hook that up?
I was thinking if I wanted park video, I'd just plug in some external small battery. Anyone know of anything like that?
Got email today that NACS adapter from Order 8833 (2/29/24) has been shipped. Will see if I like it any better than my A2Z adapter. At least I'll have a back-up.
