That may be true, but what I declared to be absurd was the claim that the Rouge plant "will cease producing vehicles" - which TaxmanHog actually doubled-down on. Rouge is Ford's largest manufacturing facility in the world and without it will literally be impossible for Ford to reach its stated...
I'm not sure who your source is (since you offered NO evidence), but to claim that the Rouge plant "will cease producing vehicles" is absurd given Ford's recent and substantial investment in it. Might it shift to producing another EV? Sure. But I can also see Ford using the 2026 refresh/redesign...
I'm not convinced that the first T3 vehicle will be an F150 Lightning replacement. There is clearly a market for a body-on-frame electric F150; what Ford needs to do is optimize the engineering for production efficiencies. The new vehicle could be smaller and lighter than the current Lightning...
When I do home charging (Level 2) the app shows me the 6 kW rate. I'm using an iPhone.
Now all we need is for the truck itself to show the rate on the dash during charging...
I wish I had better news, but don't count on it. The real fix will require a software update specific to this problem - an update that Ford first promised in the first half of February, then by the end of February, and now I understand they are saying by summer. WTF?! BTW, I find pulling fuse 32...
Yeah, same problems here until a few minutes ago. Ford Pass seems to be back online at 10:35 AM CST Friday.
But it is beyond frustrating that Ford can't fix its damn software problems. The recent NY Times article suggesting that Ford had surpassed Tesla in the EV tech world is absurdly comic...
More or less my experience. But in my case, they didn't do 23-2050 (tho' that is what I brought the Lightning into the dealer for). Instead, there were updates to the OBCC and APIM. And, yeah, I'm still having to do Fuse 32. As best I can tell, after telling everyone that there would be a fix...
As I understand it, 4.1.2.2 does not address the modem's failures; that is in an entirely separate (and may be stand-alone) update that Ford has promised before the end of February. Alternatively, you can go to the dealer and have them upgrade the software pursuant to TSB 23-2050.
I'm already doing this after pulling fuse 32 on Friday morning. On Thursday, the Ford Support tech mentioned turning off Apple CarPlay multiple times as we were troubleshooting. At the time, I wondered if there was a relationship between wireless CarPlay and this problem.
Update: My dealer has not gotten back to me, so I went ahead and pulled Fuse 32 from the passenger-side kick panel, and after 60 seconds, replaced it. It took about 5-10 minutes, but FordPass re-established contact with the Lightning and accurately reported its charge status and location. It...
I am experiencing this connectivity issue between my 2023 Lightning Pro and the Ford Pass app. Called Ford Support this morning. After a bit of unsuccessful trouble-shooting, I was advised that my Lightning needed a firmware upgrade pursuant to Service Bulletin TSB-23-2050. This "fix" was just...

Provide a simple work surface that can be used in the Pro after folding down the shifter - something that sits on the center console in front of the existing padded armrest. I'm not talking about a full replacement of the console box lid - from the videos I've watched, that is a very complicated...
