Maverick-sized EV, I'm excited for.
Aerodynamic truck, I'm not too hot on. The truck needs to look like a truck, and the lightning was pitch perfect in looks.
I would listen to my instincts for sure. I can't say I feel anything shaking around on mine which is more or less right off the lot.
Rule out the basics - junk in the frunk rolling around loose, rocks in the rims, etc., but if those are ruled out I'd not hesitate to take it in to the dealer or...
Next time you plug into the charger, take a screenshot of the front page of your app where it says your truck is charging. I wonder if you're on a unique cocktail of software versions between phone and truck that makes you see different things than most of us see?
This sounds like it might be an issue with your phone? I would try disabling bluetooth (IIRC, wireless carplay is over a superlocal wifi), I would clean the phone of unnecessary apps, and then I'd make sure there was no other earbuds, headphones, headsets, etc. in range. When I have my airpods...
I'm wondering what you're looking at when you say "limit"? Do you not see the charge limit slider on your app? If you move the slider one way or the other the limit goes up or down. I feel like i'm being overbasic though. What exactly are you talking about?
What distance will you be doing your heavy payload and tow? IMO that dictates whether the truck will work for you or not. Pretend you're going to get 1/2 the non-payload efficiency with your fancy giant tires, so 0.8 mi/kWh, and calc your roundtrip. If the number works then you're probably going...
IMO the full power pro power is the killer app for the truck. If you didn't buy a truck with the 9.6 kW, I would not hesitate to upgrade it so it has full power. Those of you looking to buy, make sure you get this upgrade.
Hmmmm interesting, I wonder if that's a software update new thing, or a screen thing? I'm in a XLT so have the "split screen" and can run google maps in the main pane and ford nav in the subpane
My theory is that the soc displayed to us is a calculation rather than a true current state. There is no way that 1-2 kWh discharges from our battery packs in such a short time, so to me that means it must be the result of a calculation that is slicing time either too rapidly or not enough, and...
My salesperson said to type the destination in via ford nav IN ADDITION TO carplay so that the car can do its thing properly. It's a workaround at least
That boat is gorgeous. I wouldn't mind some boat tour pics if you had em.
When I'm feeling the kWh/mi crunch I slow down to ~60max and turn on "performance mode" (not available when towing I assume) but I've been getting remarkably better numbers doing that.
I think there would be a market for...
This was going to be my thought. Is OP leaving their OBDII dongle plugged in? I've seen it cause crazy battery drain in other cars I've owned and been lazy with. I would physically remove it each time I powered the truck off and see if that's the culprit.
AT LEAST let us "pull" whatever update is next. The push model is OK for vehicles that are current, but there's a ton of us who are on some super-relaxed schedule where it feels like it'll take months or years to get up to date.
The ultra prepper in me wants a system like this so that in a mad max scenario, I can be offgrid, sit somewhere out in the open for 3-4 days, and get like 20 miles charge on the truck so i can go to the nearest trading post with my bottle caps.
