If that limit stays I really hope Ford can get a Lariat with ER battery under 74k. Otherwise it's XLT+ with ER for me. I'm not giving up 12.5k for leather and a few other luxuries.
Dude, same. I really gave up on Tesla though when they took Autopilot away from the 2nd owner of a car. Taking away features remotely is not fucking OK. That sealed it for me. Never buying a Tesla.
That's my assumption! Trying to quell my enthusiasm because I need to wait anyway but I'd really like to check out the build price tool AND test drive one before I commit over 70k to it.
The closer we get to 10/26 without a build price tool, order guide, or even anyone on Earth that has driven a Lightning and doesn't work for Ford, the more I get irritated.
I was looking at the Lariat+ (assuming some options aren't available in the base Lariat trim,) and yeah, it's only about 5k more for the EV version, assuming that the packages stay as they were in the survey.
I wouldn't get everything in a hybrid as I would have more flexibility to pick and...
In that comparison, yes the EV comes out ahead but I'm looking at a price jump of around 11k from ICE to EV comparably equipped. Then I have to get the charger installed AND I may have to upgrade my electric service because the dickhead that remodeled my house decided FOR us that we didn't need...
The more I run the numbers the more I realize that the tax incentives need to pass or I'm gonna have to tap out on the Lightning. Like.. yes I'm in love but man if the pricing matches the survey pricing, the ICE hybrid seems like a better value. Just sucks bc I want to be fully electric for...
Here's something I'm not sure about.
If my wife and I have a tax liability of 15000 for the year and we pay 18000 then our refund is 3000.
So if I apply the 7500 EV credit, it reduces our tax liability to 7500 (15000-7500=7500) for the year.
Does that mean our refund goes up to 10500...
Likely yes. I would ask your current dealer how many reservations they have. I'm willing to bet Chapman has more. At least you can make an informed decision that way.
Griffith Ford San Marcos (TX) is clearly not very internet savvy if they're coming on to a FB group of obsessive enthusiasts that research this truck to death and LIE about no profit selling at MSRP. These guys are gonna torch you with ADM and they're admitting it LMAO.
Stay away from them.
Ever time I see AMB in person I talk myself out of it bc it's basically black. But then I I'm reminded of the blue sparkle and I start to consider it again. I'm really not sure what I'll choose if Quartz is not an option.
Granger and Horsham are doing under invoice deals and they're caught up in this with the Bronco. Granger has an allocation of 20 Broncos for 2022. This is where this is stemming from so yes, this very well could impact a lot of Lightning res holders on this forum. Me being one of them.
