Thanks for letting me know that you’re having the same issues. I see they also pulled the Apple Watch app and will put it back out there once they’ve made it robust enough to work properly and consistently.
That’s really interesting that your dealer never mentioned it; however, it’s mostly an automatic feature now with new vehicles, so maybe it has become an afterthought.
Since updating to this latest version of FP a couple of days ago:
I no longer have the map or vehicle location functions available. I checked the privacy settings on my iPhone and the location services are on and set correctly.
Anyone else having this issue?
I think you can be sure that all the components that are stressed during start/stop cycles have been engineered to withstand many, many thousands of those cycles. Starters, batteries, engine bearings, etc.
The DualLiner that I bought for my 2016 F-150 was transferred to my ‘18 and now sits in my ‘21. The only thing that I had to do was cut a window for the power panel.
Makes sense how much these units cost. I have disassembled one of the 2021 F-150 ADB lamps for benchmarking purposes where I work. They are very complex on the inside with lots of moving parts and active cooling.
