Hello there is no fee unless you count having a WIFI connection. I use my phones hotspot so no extra cost. I turn on my hotspot before the truck and it connects every time. The box has a sim card slot so you can purchase dedicated access for it. I will probably by this before my next vacation...

That's 2 downsides. I had one slow like that. CarLinkit is very responsive, it installed all my apps except Kodi. Carlinkit is $182 on amazon.
