Thank you for this post!
I’m finally picking up my Black Lariat SR today—I ordered it back in January. I’ve read quite a few horror stories on this forum lately and it’s easy to get spooked. Your experience is exactly what I’m hoping for. Ford should use you in an ad campaign! Especially now to...
As silly as this is—that fact that they can’t get this right—after so long—still, I know it means something positive. Right?
It’s been sitting there “built” since the end of August. Now it’s going back to the future!
My dealer said flat-out they do nothing about the CSP-23B57 unless something goes wrong. Does this sound right? It sure doesn’t smell right. Is it a reason NOT to buy the truck I’ve been waiting 2 years for?
Thanks!
Please let us know how your test drive goes and whether it was worth the wait. I’ve taken a couple of test drives of a Platinum and an XLT. Both definitely impressive and would have probably pulled the trigger on either, but still waiting for mine. I’m not sure if I could walk away after waiting...
This is beyond terrifying to think about. If my wife read this post she’d probably not let me take ownership. Mine was built on 8/25 and I’m still waiting for it. My current truck is tried and true and for what it’s worth—has never tried to kill me. I really hope —when you get to the bottom of...
This message is confusing me. Did you opt not to take the truck you originally ordered and waited patiently for—for 2 years? And then order another, identical one? And why would the second one be cheaper from a different dealer? Please help us understand!
Interesting that there were trucks marked “built” that were not only in production after mine, but ordered 2 months after me. I’ll enclose my window sticker details.
It’s a Lariat SR with no bedliner. I’m curious about their sequencing. Maybe they are giving priority to ER models? Or is it the...
Your reply had me wondering how Ford can possibly make two thousand trucks in a week. That is a truly mind-boggling number. So I found this rather mesmerizing video of the factory. It still doesn't seem to capture how its possible.
But it also makes me appreciate the UAW folks who build them--as...
OK. This discussion has been really helpful.
I’ve learned that you don’t need a charging app to charge a Lightning. Awesome.
But having a good app can give you insight into what’s going on with the charger. In my case it’s 100 ft away in my driveway. So if i forgot to plug it in or it somehow...
Yes, Lariat SR Blend date 8/21. But I’m not hopeful I’ll be seeing it until October... But I guess my main question regarding charging is: do you use the app that comes with the charger? Or do you only use the Ford app to monitor and schedule charging—regardless of which charger you own?
Trying to decide whether to get an Emporia home charger or the new Tesla Universal charger. Having never had an EV, I was wondering if it’s worth considering spending a little more for the Tesla charger because the app that you’d use with it might be better than the Emporia app? Or am I totally...
