Try pushing in on the tailgate while pressing the button. That helps with mine. I think the problem arises from the latch and latch pin not being lined up properly. I moved my driver side pin around a little and it works a lot better. Not perfect, but better.

I have been using the keypad to lock/unlock quite a bit and haven't had any issues.

For me the PAAK would not reset, just kept giving me an error. I had to do the "all fordpass factory reset".

Noticed that my PAAK had quit working recently. Spent about a half hour tonight farting around with it and found this thread. Eventually got it working again had to delete the app and also factory reset the fordpass settings from within the truck itself. Then had to start over reinstall, rescan...
