...transferring 100% of the time isn't quite there yet. I think the issue is the FCSP getting hung up with the Bluetooth connection. The Sunrun guys said the truck goes to sleep after a short time, like 14 minutes, so that could be it too. It's probably a bit of both, sometimes the truck goes to...
Jim,
After the 10.3 software update, automatic backup seems to be working for me (except if the truck has been off for a long time). If I have already used the door or have the truck on, it seems to start each time without having to re-plug the cable several times. Prior to 10.3 I used to have...
...rs485 common/ground wire problem that you had. Is Ford BEV support smart enough to triage this or do you think now it's a better bet to get Sunrun to come out and examine one's wiring in light of lessons learned since the initial install (which was over two years ago for me); I have a 2023...
...on the rs485 port. Old installs have orange landed there but this screws the transfer up and causes it to hang and eventually fail. Sunrun tech lifted this orange and it transferred properly immediately after for me.
If your having what looks like good transfer but then no power followed by...
I subscribe to that channel. I enjoy most of her content. One I definitely disagreed with was getting the sunrun home integration system. Way too expensive to purchase and even though she had qualified installers she's had nothing but problems with her system. Aside from automatically...
Yeah, I'm never gonna take that step.
Random find, but this is the SunRun schematic for the Ford Home Integration, V2H. (I've never heard a single good thing about it) It's interesting to see where the grounds follow, though.
Like I said, I'm learnin' a lot! You electric gurus may find it...
I remember reading that article back in 2024, it was a pilot program.

BGE's vehicle-to-home pilot program will start by enrolling a small group of customers with the same setup as the Foremans to collect data before expanding the program.
For more information on this program and other BGE...
We all know if you want to deliver a baby quickly to just put 9 pregnant women in room for a month. Too many moving parts and, yes Ford SHOULD be the owner but look at just how flawless their other software/hardward/firmware offering are.
Yes the suppliers and installers of the system: FCSP hardware=Siemens; HIS Hardware=Delta; HIS and FCSP and Lightning software = Ford?; installers=SunRun.
Too many cooks could be the problem?
The question is my mind is "who owns the fix?" Sunrun or Ford? Both do and both don't so it's just like Schrödinger's cat, it's dead and alive at the same time.
Yes it's very convoluted, hopefully one day non sunrun/ford proprietary V2H systems exist... I'm banking on powershare being a standard for future EVs which would be nice since it will work out of the box with powerwalls.. but we shall see
This system poses no risk to line workers with or...
...new V2H feature for the Home Integration System. There are some preliminary requirements for the first wave of participants including being Sunrun installed (or a Sunrun directed installation). Other factors such as vehicle software level and utility provider will determine your fit to be...
Yup. My understanding is that all F-150's with 2.4kW pro power are 120V-only, and all F-150's with 240V use a pair of inverters capable of 7.2kW. Our Lightnings are special in that they have both. Since none of the other applications of the 2.4kW inverter do 240V, my bet is that the front...
Well that kinda sucks. I just hope we can keep the configuration after the trial period, I don't have a lot of faith in either Sunrun or Ford to maintain the stack given their existing arrangement.
Just heard back from TMH. Ford Lightnings can only discharge using the HIS system and FCSP.
(So solutions like the dcbel ara won't work with the Lightning)
Which is unfortunate, cause after looking at the dcbel ara on their site, it looks a solid generation ahead of the HIS.
They're also saying...
...are other bi-directional systems coming or are available, Franklin has one.
The HIS Delta hardware can be bought from other suppliers and Sunrun does not (at last check) have exclusivity with the install - for a time Qmerit was installing them I think. I looked into that and the hardware...
I’ve actually th
Apparently the one being sent is the pro charger which is the 1300$
Dealer didn’t have any so I had to wait for it to be sent. My install will be straight forward. In garage about 6 ft from panel. I hope I have a smooth experience with them
