Ford is looking for volunteers to try out the new V2H feature for the Home Integration System. There are some preliminary requirements for the first wave of participants including being Sunrun installed (or a Sunrun directed installation). Other factors such as vehicle software level and utility provider will determine your fit to be chosen to move forward. Email [email protected] if you are interested. The question is my mind is "who owns the fix?" Sunrun or Ford? Both do and both don't so it's just like Schrödinger's cat, it's dead and alive at the same time.

Ford ... they own the product and marketed and sold the POS ... it's up to Ford to work with their suppliers and service partners to fix the problems

Yes the suppliers and installers of the system: FCSP hardware=Siemens; HIS Hardware=Delta; HIS and FCSP and Lightning software = Ford?; installers=SunRun.

Too many cooks could be the problem?

We all know if you want to deliver a baby quickly to just put 9 pregnant women in room for a month. Too many moving parts and, yes Ford SHOULD be the owner but look at just how flawless their other software/hardward/firmware offering are.

I remember reading that article back in 2024, it was a pilot program.
---
BGE's vehicle-to-home pilot program will start by enrolling a small group of customers with the same setup as the Foremans to collect data before expanding the program.

For more information on this program and other BGE electric vehicle incentives, tap here.
---

Tapping the link:

Home Charging Incentive
This program is no longer accepting new applications.
---
But that appears to be referring to an EVSE program though.

So I searched the BGE web site but could not find any mention of a V2G/V2H system.

Must not have worked out.

We have to think about the wear and tear so to speak (charge/discharge cycles) on our truck batteries if we let the utilities start taking energy from our trucks during peak demand periods which occur far more often than outages.

EDIT: Those few of us who may have an HIS that works - I passed on that in favor of a simple transfer switch and ProPower setup.
