Could be but these guys make a good case for it disabling Cylinder Deactivation.
Doesn't mean it's true.
Since everyone says it's very difficult to tell when Cyl Deact kicks in, without schematics it's going to be hard to tell if it actually works.
Maybe someone with aftermarket exhaust can...
My 1st "mod" will definitely be disabling "Auto stop-start" and "Cylinder Deactivation" until my engine is broken in. In fact, I'll do it before I even leave the dealer's lot and here's how... (in case you didn't know, and care)
Can anyone offer any input as to the advantage/disadvantage between going with the simple, inexpensive "block" leveling as opposed to replacing the entire shock?
I'm going to be using my truck regularly on steep, twisty mountain roads and maintaining as low of a center of gravity as possible is...
I'm going to be interested to see how my Reg Cab Short Bed handles my 8000lb Cat.
I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to be hauling that much weight and if it's too squirrelly, I won't but since Ford's VIN calculator is dead I'm just going to have to hook it up and see.
That's pretty much my situation.
Trailers.
I'm putting the Decked system with a solid fiberglass top. I'll use trailers for hauling anything besides tools.
When and if I sell, the bed will be pretty much pristine.
They're going to lose a hell of a lot more than that in future sales if they don't start treating CUSTOMERS waiting on orders and people getting rusted trucks a LOT better!
I don't expect them to magically pull computer chips out of their hats but they absolutely have the resources to reach out...
That's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for the post.
It never ceases to amaze me what crappy pictures these manufacturers post on their websites. Your pictures look WAY better than theirs...
I think you do.
The attached jpg is the order my dealer submitted. Below is from the Ford website listing what my VIN# comes with.
Both say I'm getting Integrated Brake Controller and the sales order lists it as zero cost so it must come with it.
I did have to pay extra for the 360 degree...
My 1st Ford was a 1964 Falcon.
I've had Ford Vans, a Torino, multiple trucks, multiple Mustangs, an Escort GT, etc...
Ford brakes have sucked ever since I can remember.
An Electric F150 sounds awesome!
...unless you live in CA where they already can't keep the power on year round due to our wonderful "green energy" fantasy.
Oh... and BTW, the State of CA already FINES me $75.00 every month for going over my "allotted energy usage". Imagine what that would be...
That's what I suspected. I think I'll stick with the one piece for now. They're not as convenient to access but they're easy to remove completely when you want full access to your bed and they're 100% water tight.
Thanks!!
Any input on "waterproofing"?
I would love to have the convenience of a roll up but I want 100% waterproof to protect my Decked system so I'm looking at solid tops.
I asked my local auto glass guy about R&Ring the rear window. He does all the glass work for the local Ford Dealerships.
You'd have thought I was asking him to defuse a bomb!
He didn't want anything to do with it.
Maybe I just need to find another glass shop but this guy seems to know his...
