Absolute best thing thing for your mental heath is to assume you won’t see it until spring, forget about it and be pleasantly surprised when it arrives in December.
Man, Tom Petty was right, the waiting is the hardest part. When I finally shipped I was so excited, only for it to move a scant 200 miles or so before freezing for a week (and counting) in Blue Island. The railcar number Ford chat begrudgingly shared has proven to be worthless as despite...
Mines been sitting there for more than a week now.
Dealer is telling me to expect to miss my delivery window (went through 10/20 then revised through tomorrow) by three weeks or more.
I’m 9/25 build week (though not built until 10/10). 12 days later and per my dealer it’s moved approx 220 miles to IL. With 2200 more to go, it’ll be here approx. February 22, 2024 at this rate.
I deeply DEEPLY envy folks who are getting their trucks within 6-7 days ship.
12 days from shipped to arrival on the west coast? Encouraging for my 10/16 ship date (though as of this morning it hasn’t actually moved yet) to Northern California.

I think this is where much of my frustration is coming from. I may be wrong but I feel like direct customer orders should be prioritized over dealer stock and I’m seeing more and more of these stories of comparable cars showing up at available dealerships while I’ve got probably another 6 weeks...
@TaxmanHog
Statistically speaking, you got any sort of median from built to shipped? Seems trucks sit for an unreasonably long time before going anywhere.
So….what are the right questions to ask Ford Chat? I’m 0-4 in getting anything useful out of them and get no information I don’t already see at shop.ford (and 3 of 4 times got nothing more than being pointed there).
Many hours later someone declined my activation request. I’m going to take that as only a good sign with someone in the truck, I’ll assume getting it on the train.
