LOL, some days I hated the look of the plain Pro grille, some days I loved it. I think I decided I wanted to swap it out because the grille has a fake looking lightbar instead of just being one giant smooth continuous grille.
I did a whole write up :)
Long story short. LDCM firmware needs to be flashed in each headlight. Shouldn't need any asbuilt changes.

Finally! With the help of both @Livnitup and @Jesse-Infotainment we figured out why the light bars don't immediately light up when plugging them into a truck that isn't equipped with the light bar from the factory. As far as I can tell, every truck should be prewired, but its very possible that...
You're running XLT firmware on your BCM too right?
I think all that's left at this point would be HCM firmware/hardware and LDCM firmware. I'm talking with Livinitup in the ICE forums about this to see what he thinks, but so far none of the changes we've made in forscan have made a difference...
Yeah my theory is correct. Atleast on my truck. I have continuity to ground and I get voltage on the pins that should have voltage in the light bar connector behind the grille.
Here's the problem though: I'm only getting 2 volts, when it should be 36 volts. I've connected my lightbar to an...
I swapped this out about a month after I got my truck in September 2022.
From what I remember, restoring the config as is from my stock HVAC module the new one didn't work at all. I manually made most of the changes by comparing the spreadsheets from ICE to Lightning and it seems like it's been...
Hmm. I'm not buying the harness theory. Spent a good bit of time in the parts catalog today with a handful of VINs to compare. My Pro w/ Onboard Scales & 9.2kw Pro Power uses the same 12A581 "engine harness" as a Platinum.
In this diagram, there are only two harnesses between the light bar...
Excellent. I have never had cabin preconditioning work and it sucked in the winter. Hopefully this takes care of me. Battery was always warmed up though!
I’m pretty sure the bulk of the Pros were built in the last few production weeks. Being the first to order and last to receive was pretty rough, but hey if it means they work out some of the kinks and I get a better truck because of it then I’m alright with that!
I'm not sure what date I switched to In Production on the Vehicle Order Tracking page, I assumed I was always in that stage. Either way, yesterday my asbuilt data showed up and this morning I got the tear tag. The truck's picture just showed up in FordPass as well.
She's alive!
Edit: The date...
Yeah I've been absolutely bounced around from 7/11 to 6/20 to 7/4 back to 7/11 now. Honestly just waiting until I get a window sticker at this point before I get comfortable with a production week.
Its 100% possible to swap the front light. The question will be how in depth it’ll be. I’ve actually seen some Lightning specific part numbers already but everything I’ve tried to order gets cancelled lol.
Few questions that’ll need to be answered:
Is the wiring for it in the truck?
Will the...
