While I'm glad I can track it over the phone, these Norfolk Southern locations are hard to understand, but I believe mine is west of Columbus heading towards Cincinnati. Ford still expects a 1/6-1/12 delivery, which unless trains suddenly start going a lot faster, I think is unlikely. It would...
Borrowed this from 12/12 for easier train tracking (Norfolk Southern). Where 8849 and 985322 are just put your train code. It auto dials for you so you don't have to keep typing. My truck is making its way through Ohio.

Good news, after sitting for a few days, it looks like truck is on the train now. Norfolk Southern TTGX985322. Sounds like it just left Melvindale from Ramp 58. For others who are curious, mine was listed as 'built' on Jan 31st, then showed shipped late 1/2 or early 1/3 (overnight) where it took...
Having been updated to shipped early on 1/3, it seems so far my truck was taken by truck to Ramp 58 next door to Dearborn in Melvindale. Ford still says it could arrive as early as Monday but I know that's not realistic. So far no progress, I have to imagine they have quite the backlog of...
Mine also just updated to 1/3-1/9! So I guess it could arrive anytime this week. It had been 1/25-1/31. I feel like that was too slow and this is too fast lol! I guess I need to get my truck cleaned to go trade in. My dealer folks are nice, but kinda on the older side, I don't think they...
Received an email overnight that my lightning has shipped. Still showing a 1/25-1/31 arrival which I think is a bit pessimistic for an Alabama delivery. At least it's on the move!
Looks like mine finally changed to Built. They had said Wednesday it was but looks like they were mistaken while it was on chip hold. No delivery ETA but it's via truck to Alabama so can't imagine it'll take too long.
I'm not jazzed about interest rates, higher price, lack of credit, and other features. I have the benefit of living somewhere very warm, so I will never need a heated steering wheel. At this point, my plan is to take delivery on it, pay down the principal quickly, and trade it in for a Ranger EV...
Mine still shows In Production, but Ford Support says it's built and has been at the ramp the last couple days. They gave me an eta for the 2nd which seems impossible. I asked my dealer if they knew anything and they never got back to me.
My lightning was at Ramp 51 yesterday with an eta of January 2nd! Oof, tax credit would've been nice but hot damn thats the quickest turn around if true. In production on the 21st and in my garage within 2 weeks?
Tear Tag just appeared, when I check my account on Ford's website I can now see the correct Lightning and not a place holder (I already added it as a vehicle). Looks like she's pretty much finished being built.
Checking my modules this morning revealed a long list, presumably this means they're all there. I had a 12/20 blend date. I'm also shipping via convoy to Mobile, so hopefully that's not too long of a wait.
Edit: I was also able to add the vehicle to my Ford account but nothing really shows up...
From reading that, I imagine then there won't be any way to wiggle around the 80k limit for ER Lightnings? It seems pretty clear that MSRP is the limit, and although I didn't see anything regarding options, I know my window sticker says MSRP after options (Lariat ER) exceeds the cutoff.
Any luck with them? Is it possible to use them despite not being in California? I see their website says vehicles must be titled in California. My local CU is now over 5% so securing a 2.49% rate would be amazing.
These rate hikes are brutal. Most places are over 4% now, even my local credit union is at %3.99. Most of the bigger folks are close to if not past 5%. Supposedly there will be another rate increase in December. Trying to lock in a rate ASAP.
