I agree, my ICE f-150 had a sound screen windshield and I got several cracks in it over a single harvest season; replaced it with a non sound screen windshield and have had no issues.
The dealer I’m using(small town, pop: 6,500) is taking care of the above mentioned CSP at the same time as the 30k service. I’ll drop it off at 7:30am and they said they will perform the update while they are servicing the truck. Should be a couple of hours.
The dealership where we bought my...
Happy with my Lightning? That’s a bit of an understatement for me. :) This has been my best truck by far and I write that as a loyal Ford owner. I’ve been telling people since I purchased a Tesla adapter the truck is near perfect(I’d probably say it was perfect if it had the King Ranch trim...
I’d look online and find a dealer knowledgable with out of state transactions. I bought my truck 2,200 miles from my home but saved about $7,000 after adding the transportation costs.
This is the second truck in a row I’ve bought out of state and it was a pleasant experience all around.
You’re right about us all being invited, however, I consider myself a good “guest” at these Tesla superchargers. The longest I have spent at one is 38 minutes. Most of the time I’m only there for 15 to 20 minutes.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Bolt bros are as considerate.
That’s the stuff of nightmares right there! I already have had my fill of Bolts hogging up EA chargers. I’m not looking forward to seeing them now that I almost exclusively charge at Tesla now.
Thanks for the write up. I live in the Central Valley and use 3 EA charge sites, all off the 99, on a regular basis and concur EA is terrible. It is a rarity that all chargers are working at the same time.
I’m thankful my A2Z charger came recently and I’m eagerly anticipating using it this...
I ordered my A2Z on May 31st and it is scheduled to be delivered this Friday, the 21st. Looking forward to it as I’m tired of dealing with the unreliable EA network in my daily travels. :)
I also turned off the speed sign recognition as soon as I got the truck. It doesn’t work right in the wife’s Lincoln I definitely wouldn’t hold my breath with it working correctly in this truck.
My wife is fine with EVs but she won’t get one until Lincoln comes out with their line up.
She’s not opposed to road tripping in the Lightning, probably since we have little kids and hopefully can time our charge stops with restroom, food breaks and stretching…. Probably won’t work out the way...
As someone who drives 50,000 miles a year on California roads, I concur: our roads are horrible.
Caltrans has already had a pilot program studying how to tax drivers based on the miles driven per year. EV owners will still be ahead, as all drivers will pay per mile, but the gas tax will not be...
Thank you for your insight. I’ve got a Truck Covers USA retractable cover on my current F-150 but feel as if that might be too heavy for my Lightning so I’m researching other options and have been looking at Retrax.
