I was just surprised the efficiency was so close.
1.6mi/kwh for a 2200lb empty trailer and 1.5mi/kwh for the same trailer plus another 4500lbs and an aerodynamic brick sticking up.
I wish I could say big plans but honestly I'm just going to clean it, get it driving, and sell.
They are fetching good prices right now and I got it for an absolute steal. It's a cool car, but not MY cool car, so it will fund other projects.
Last i really dug into it, and before the Lightning, we ran around 26,000 kwh a year, running between 1800 and 2500kwh per month. Our heating and cooling is Geothermal, and aside from Jan and Feb when emergency heat may kick in, is relatively efficient.
As for usage I run a Sense energy...
For being nearly 40 years old it's pretty darn good from 10 feet too!
True one owner barn find, buddies grandma was driving it up until 20 yrs ago, when it was parked in a pole barn. 40k miles on it. Minimal dings or dents, some rust but no rot.
Lots of racoon shit though....
Makes sense, I forget folks have unique plans. Ours is straight consumption, no TOU or charging plan, just 8 cents per kwh (and about double that after fees)
That isn't a question of where though is it, it's a question of how much hot water we use.
We have 6 people under one roof with 4 liking long showers and one regularly taking hot baths. Over a third of our electric bill previously was the water heater.
The Ford mobile charger has a relatively high failure rate if used regularly. It's covered under your 3yr/36k warranty so I would get it replaced and store it away.
It's not that, it's making sure that there is not an active 400v service line outside the vehicle if it's not needed.
I can guarentee Ford didn't do this because they are worried about vampire drain. The reason to turn it off is for safety, not consumption. Is 6 minutes too short? I'll...
I have proven it true myself many times.
The brake lights will illuminate if slowing in 1pd drive, or when pressing the brake pedal. They will not show when slowing in sport mode (or normal)
Today’s adventure involved my Lightning, a U-Haul car hauler, and a 40-year-old Oldsmobile that’s been sitting so long it’s now more raccoon habitat than car. It came complete with a small block engine, four flat tires, and a generous coating of nature’s graffiti. But hey, the price was right...
Yes, it shuts down because it thinks there is nothing there, not because it can't handle it. You need a bit of a load on it so that it realizes it needs to keep supplying power.
These arguments against safety features always feel to me like the compliant about having to wear a seatbelt. Instead of spending the time to become accustomed to it and having what is in every measure a better method, which millions of others have done, instead they continuously reinforce to...
Call the BEV team or have @Ford Motor Company help. There should be no diagnostic fee for a TSB designed to specifically address a customers complaints.
