That's not a bad deal. I think I might just use the 20A that I ordered, and if I see it dropping too low, I'll hook up to my wife's car with jumper cables.
I'm HOPING (but not hopeful) that if I can get a couple updates done through FDRS, then maybe the OTA process will pick back up again. My...
So I ordered a mongoose and the charger that was recommended in the original post. However, now that I'm reading some of these newer posts, everyone is saying that the power supply isn't good enough.
I'm still on 4.3.x, but now I'm scared to try updating anything if I have the wrong power...
I wish I knew how horrible the software is before I bought mine.
It's broken, I get errors, and Ford refuses to help me.
If I could go back in time, there's no way I would ever buy this truck again.
Still no solution at all.
I might breakdown and buy a mongoose to see if I can do it myself.
@rugedraw, since the dealer was getting errors when they tried to update my software, would it even be worth trying to do it myself?
After 31 days of it being in the service department, I went and picked my truck back up. Nothing was done, no updates were applied, and apparently there is still a GVMS warning that they haven't been able to solve.
So based on what they've said, it sounds like I'm stuck on my existing software...
Just received a new update after texting and calling multiple times on Friday for an update.
Seems like they have no idea what they are doing. They've had it for 29 days and haven't made any progress at all.
It's been in the shop for 25 days now.
I asked for an update on Tuesday and here's the response:
@rugedraw, can you check and see if you can tell if anything has been done or updated?
Your guess is as good as mine. He sent a follow up text saying that they have a game plan now based on that response. So we’ll see where it goes from here. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks that it’s been in the shop.
Just got a new update from the dealer, which they received from Ford
I’m already part of the Early Access Program, so hopefully that will help a little bit (although I’m not holding my breath)
That’s some good info.
I still don’t have any updates from the dealership. My truck is still sitting in their lot, waiting to hear back from Ford.
Monday will be 2 weeks at the dealer. Which coincidentally will also be the 1 year anniversary since I received my last software update.
I’m not sure. Here’s the full message that they got from the “Ford hotline”.
A GVMS warning typically indicates a concern with data on the server for that module. To resolve this, I will need to contact the module programing team to check if there is any data concern and fix. Please, this may...
Just received a text from the dealership saying that there is a GVMS warning, which indicates a concern with data on the server for that module. They have contacted Ford and they are passing it over to the module programming team to check on it. And it make take some time, but sounds like it...
It’s been a week since I dropped the truck off and I haven’t heard a word from the dealership yet. Time to give them a call and check in. I’m prepared for them to say that they’ve done all the updates, even tho we all know they haven’t.
I have an appointment this afternoon at the dealership. What do I need to tell them to update to make sure I get everything done?
And how will I be able to confirm once it's done?
I had the OTA team open a case, and I have an appointment to drop the truck off at the dealership this afternoon. So we’ll see what they will actually do for me.
Today is 350 days since the last update.
I called the OTA team, and they told me to do the following for 2 weeks straight....
Charge the High Voltage battery to 91%
Drive the truck for 30 minutes (but make sure the battery is still at 91%)
Set the update schedule to 12:01am
Turn off the...
