Had new tires put on today. Was going to get the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S, but the shop got the new Discoverer Road and Trail tires which are the replacement for the AT3 4S. Only had them for a short while and zi didn't get a chance to do a true back to back comparison, so this is just a...
Well, now this has me worried! I heard some sloshing on my drivers side the other when driving the truck after it sat for a week or so. We had lots of rain. Seemed to go away after about 15 minutes of driving and it hasn't come back. Will definitely need to keep an eye/ear out for it.
At this point I don't really trust the bed scales. I took a load to the dump recently and the truck told me I was over weight by a little (~1730lbs). Scale at the dump read 800lbs exactly....
Are you talking about the 2 next to the shifter, the 2 at the back of the center console? The 2 next to the shifter hold great, but can't take bigger items, while the 2 further back are great for the big items (Lightning yeti bottle).
Yeah, I would feel comfortable driving that in just about any vehicle, unless I am missing something.
I have driven worse going apple picking or to a ski mountain.
Yup, exactly this. Has saved my bacon as well in Scranton PA when none of the chargers showed online in the app, but plug and charge worked. Getting to the next set of chargers would have been "interesting" as I was about 10 miles shy of range. Climate off and going 30 down the interstate to...
You could do the extension cable with thicker wires. Thicker wires means less losses and more heating, but also more weight and cost.
For the AtoZ adapter - the 300A limit would be a pretty big bottleneck and limit you to around 100kW charging in the real world. That is a pretty big speed cut...
I would say $300 to $400 for the adapter and maybe $150 to $200 for the cable. These things won't be cheap, but it does add a lot of piece of mind and opens up some areas for travel that are just about impossible now.
I didn't really care about the audio, leather was nice though. In '22, the price difference between the XLT ER and Lariat ER just made the Lariat a no brainer. I also really wanted to Blue Cruise after using it in my wife's Mach-e.
It is more about offering tech that was only available in the Lariat (Bigger screen, upgraded audio, bluecruise) in the XLT.
Honestly if this had been an option last year, I would have gotten it instead of my Lariat.
We were up there last summer and it really is slim pickings. I found a few L2 chargers on the side of a gas station that weren't listed in plugshare/ABRP, but no fast charging opportunities. If you are planning on staying awhile, you might be able to use them.
I leave plug and charge on because it sometimes works when the EA app doesn't. Just activate through the app first before you plug in and you get the reduced rate.
I have tried this out and it just seems to make everything harder, especially with the unreliability of charging currently. When you try to use this, you have to keep getting in and out of the truck to plug in , attempt to start, fail, unplug, rinse and repeat as many time as needed until it...
The big question is if it still has 4' clear at the base to load plywood and other sheet products. If so, great but not a huge deal. If not that is a major miss.
