I rarely use DCFC, but I agree the folks you meet are generally friendly and open to discuss BEV ownership. I've met other MMe owners and those who have Teslas, KIAs, Polestars and earlier today a Rivian R1S and a Lucid Air. First question is always - "So How Do You Like Yours" then on to...
I downloaded my Window Sticker - shows the base MSRP as $ 63,474 vs my order page on Ford.com showing $ 61,868. Guess I'll discuss this with my dealership. Production number 276 of 715 with a blend date of 230112. AM Blue, XLT SR - no options. As close to a Pro as I could order.

Seems like this may become an issue if the Lightning slows faster under regeneration than with brakes applied - others may not be alert to their closing the following distance and run into your back end. I use regenerative braking when I coast to a light or stop sign, just use the brake for the...
The warranty states at least 70%, so I'm generously saying 80%. The range at SOC will adjust (as it does now) on the historical data collected - note this includes environmental, topological and emotional input to each of our driving habits. Since I'll be using it as a daily commuter with rare...
I believe it will come down to a basic economic decision - similar for ICE vehicles. I will consider the cost of repair versus the cost of replacement of the vehicle at the time. Replacement of the battery is indeed very costly now, but should adjust over time with expansion of options etc...
This isn't unique to the Lightning. Same on my MMe and my wife's Buick ICE. I hope this is set this way for courtesy of your neighbors - the lights flash when the lock is set on the first press of the fob.
I'll jump in with what I've installed in Memphis.
I have 20 panels, LG 365s with Enphase Inverters and 10 KWh battery storage. I don't have Net Metering in Tennessee, so I purchase grid power @ 10 to 12 cents and sell generated power at 5 to 6 cents - essentially I purchase at retail and sell...
I'm hoping this means my XLT Lightning will be scheduled this week for production soon - I'm lucky to have the only order at my dealer. Another thread addresses the heated steering wheel, mirrors and seats as a possible delayer - I hope not. ?
I purchased my MMe with a similar price increase / protection earlier this year. The protection was managed as a rebate to my dealer - so I paid the order price before the increase and the dealer got a refund from Ford on their invoice. Not saying this will be the same, but could be. ;)
Congratulations - My order was also put in on 9/7 and confirmed by my dealer also on 9/7, but is not scheduled yet. Difference is 311A vs 312A and standard tires vs AT.
I would think they prioritize based upon profit to Ford. But since they make several times as many ICE F150's, it must be specific to the ICE equipment.
With all the "partially" built F-150 ICE trucks parked in various places (such as KY Speedway), how are the Lightning models being produced and shipped? Is the chip shortage mainly to do with ICE management systems?
Just curious, I'm anxious to get my MY 2023 XLT SR scheduled. ?
