After reading more on it, I don’t believe it has anything to do with how fast you put it in reverse on startup.
I read somewhere (Reddit I think) that updates can cause it. The fix I seen was to drive on a straight road for 5 mins over 18mph. it’s supposed to recalibrate it. I’m not near any...
I did my first set of FDRS updates on my Lightning last Summer. Warning, the truck makes all kind of weird noises so beware that is normal. Also, after one update my frunk would no longer close automatically. Once I fully shut it manually it worked just fine. I use 2 Clore PL2320's to...
I occasionally hit the Stop (X)/re-start cruise control button when I mean to hit OK instead. Same location but different sides of the steering wheel. I actually did this once while sitting in stand still traffic and thankfully was able to hit my break before I went very far. Not sure thats...

Anyone else get this? I’ve been getting it awhile now and it occurs about 50% of the time I go in reverse. I don’t really notice a difference in backing up.

That’s my understanding as well. I look forward to not having to engage the lock but I’m guessing we will have to push the adapter on just as hard.
It’s hard to complain too much though. At least we have an adapter that works.
I did receive an update related to the Tesla superchargers but it may only be for Plug and Charge. I’m thinking it will still work from the Tesla app.
I used my adapter for the first time on Wed. I’m glad I watched Tom’s video on State of Charge first. I knew you had to lock the bottom but could not get it to lock. After a couple tries I pushed it on as hard as I could and then it was easy to lock. I did drop the adapter and scuffed it up...
