There are "over 2,100 EV certified ford dealerships." So keeping numbers conservative to 15,000 lightnings made for 22MY, that means each dealer averages 7 lightnings. If wave 2 again shows only 1 order per dealer, and with 6 waves, that means ford realistically intends to take about 12,500...
If i were you, i'd go to the dealership and sign your buyers order so you lock in your price on signed paper before dealer starts getting the itch to add on fees.
Ordered online, dealer accepted.. got email from ford confirming order..went into and signed paperwork. Everything should be done. But on my ford.com order page, its showing "Place Order: In Progress" Are you guys seeing the same thing, or does my dealer still need to do something?
Ya, i have mixed feelings as well. I do appreciate his honesty and clarifying a lot of info that other dealers won't. But when they originally had over 120 orders as he claims, come on. Go ahead, keep spot 1 for yourself, but give the rest to your customers.
I know for a fact that my dealer was thrown off guard with my day one order. When i called him, he was clueless and shocked i was even able to order. There was $0 ADM showing online so i think they missed their chance.. called him back right after i completed order, he was shocked to see my...
This works both ways though. I've been emailing my dealer since August trying to get info (most of the time I knew more than them thanks to this forum) I was their only order for 1st wave. Up until I went in I could tell they were trying to find some way to add dealer fees) but once they saw me...
That's my fear with adding the tow technology package...it seems that it incorporates so many smaller components that it can easily cause a delay if not readily available.
7,
Thanks for sharing. I agree with Pioneer74 that though using the pin didn't work wonders on the numbers, it does offer you protection from the dealer fees.
The thing I don't like is that it's coming out to be 1.01% discount for A-Plan vs the 2.25% the leaked Ford documents said it would be...
I'm sure there will someone that flips their lightning for profit as soon as the first deliveries roll in. They will make the news and be villain's. But they own it. .they can do what they want. I, personally am keeping mine. But my problem with Ford's no resale for a year is this. What if...
There's been a lot of talk on here about dealerships charging large ADM's, causing lucky wave 1 people to panic/try to switch dealers/abandon ship.. then there are many happy customers with success getting MSRP. I'm sure there are some lucky ones that got A/Z-plan pricing.
If you got A/Z-plan...
I got confirmation from my dealer that they're (non-binding) agreeing to sell at MSRP. Btw, I'm also in Wave 1 - I reserved 3 hrs after reservations opened.
They're also wanting me to do an offline order. I read thru the playbook and not sure if that it's worth it vs online ordering - i.e...
It's interesting, because I to order first day in wave 1, my dealer said he priortiEs me to top of his list, but when I signed my paperwork I'm showing priority code 19. For all of you that ordered and said u were prioritized, what is ur invoice priority code showing as?
So the consensus is that one lucky s.o.b got an invite per dealership to test the system.. (regardless of reservation spot). So i'm trying to figure it out.. how many of you lucky ones attended the lightning event that went around the country giving test drives earlier last year? I attended and...
My dealership has 70 reservations...I kept emailing them for the past few months and they have been clueless about everything... they didn't even know orders were going live today until I submitted mine online. When I talked to the their internet order manager and educated him about this site as...
So here is my online order.. I submitted online, called my dealer (who had no idea sales were live) and made him accept my order right away so I don't miss out on my model..this is what shows up on my order now. So what ur saying is they can't add any markup now that they accepted my order, and...
I’m mid 18,000’s in reservation line..got text from ford at 5:23 Central time that my lighting is ready to order. Instantly went online, put thru my order and paid my $500 deposit. Called dealer, they said that ordering to available yet. I told them they are wrong and to check their system. He...
This is my first time using the reservation/order process for a car. usually just walk in and buy. I'm about a year out with my reservation number (18,400).
Assuming tomorrow is order day, when do i give a dealer my A-Plan pin? do i need it ready when ordering, or do i need it when they get it...
