  1. Got a Lemon.... Make Lemonade?

My two Teslas have been the most reliable, lowest maintenance vehicles I've ever owned. No contest. And I've owned a lot... Tesla bashing is a thing around here, but not too bad. I see a lot of fellow Tesla people here. OTOH, the Tesla bashing has become downright toxic and annoying over on...
  2. So. Who has been stopped by the police yet...

She was probably used to driving a certain way in a car that was a whole lot slower and more consistent at holding speed. I know a couple people who drive like this. They have no clue, don't pay attention to their speed. Some people are just terrible at judging speed and distance no matter what.
  3. Tonneau cover | convince me

If you park your truck where it snows, you want a tonneau. So much easier to push snow off than it is to shovel it out of the bed.
  4. Ford software guys could take a lesson from Lucid.

Not a chance for the upcoming platform as it's quite a bit more advanced and integrated and is probably still a couple years out. Although Mercedes and BMW were both showing of full dash interfaces using this tech. I think at best for '22~'23 Lightnings might be an update to Sync 5 that is...
  5. I'm Curious, How Many People Are Considering Not Taking Delivery?

CarPlay and Android Auto are rapidly becoming the complete solution and not the band-aid they have been. Most automakers are not able or willing to devote the immense resources to software development on this level. They will focus on working with the new versions of these platforms to provide...
  6. Tonneau cover | convince me

I bought the Peragon Limited HDx cover for my Lightning. It's an aluminum panel folding tonneau where the folded portion stacks at the front of the bed and is easily removable. https://www.peragon.com/shop/covers/Ford/F-150 Lightning/2022 I'll install it next week... Really slacking on this...
  7. LECTRON Adapter Fitment

I'm using this adapter. So far it has been connected to the Tesla Corded Mobile Connector, which is like their normal mobile adapter, but hard-wired with a 14-50 plug and charges at 40A. It works with my Lightning just fine and charges at 40A. As to why it won't work with your truck, I'm not...
  8. Ford software guys could take a lesson from Lucid.

There are some similarities between Tesla and Ford's connectivity packages. We pay for the connectivity in our Model Y. I would never subscribe to the connectivity for my Ford vehicles... Both provide internet access to the vehicle via cellular service, that's mostly what you're paying for...
  9. Where to get the Battery coolant to top off reservoir?

No leak, perfectly normal, which surprised me the first go around. Both our Model X and now our Model Y have done this. It will vent if given enough pressure. I have only had it happen twice on the X, once on the Y. Happened when supercharging and all three times the outside temp was rather...
  10. All terrain tire ride feel

You're most likely feeling the IRS and overall soft ride quality of the Lightning more than just the tires. Mine also was delivered with the AT tires due to shortage and I can't tell a difference between it and the one I test drove with AS tires. These General Grabbers are not really what I...
  11. Stubby Antenna Help

    The "Just the Tip" edition...
  12. Any guesses on when XLT might become available again?

Ford has confirmed the PRO is sold out for MY23. XLT will be available in limited quantities, but like @TaxmanHog is saying, you gotta be Lightning fast when the ordering opens. If you're considering the ER battery in any way, just go Lariat as the cost differential isn't much at that point...
  13. PRODUCTION DAY TO DELIVERY - how long?

Production week of 11/7 assigned. In-production notice on 11/10, chip hold, ship notice on 12/12. Delivered to dealership 12/21 -- 32 days with Thanksgiving in there.
  14. Sunrun is delaying sending my charging station

That probably was you as that seems to be what I already gathered from the other post, letter to sign and all that. I haven't seen anyone else reporting it, so makes me wonder. But it could just be a new thing they're doing to temper peoples expectations as a lot of people seem to be having...
  15. Sunrun is delaying sending my charging station

Mine shipped yesterday and is arriving tomorrow. But I had already confirmed with SunRun over a week ago, before I saw anyone report it being back-ordered. Not sure that it truly is back-ordered, I've only seen one post with someone saying that...
  16. Max current setting switch

The breaker will not reduce the charge rate as the charger has no clue what size the breaker is. In this case, if you sustain a charge at 80 AMPs through an 80 AMP breaker, it will work to some extent... But yes, can overheat, can cause strain on the breaker and the wiring as well if it's not...
  17. ✅ 12/05 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

Be careful with the FordPass activation thing before It's always been that way... Have to confirm activation in the vehicle. Be careful with this though. I added my VIN to FordPass and of course the pop up appeared on the monitor in the truck while it was still en-route to the dealership...
  18. Granger Motors wants more money for extended warranty after payment.

Looking at the warranty web site, I'm not seeing what the glitch is... I just played with it and configured the 8y/100k warranty I bought from Granger and got the price I paid when I bought my truck from them... What am I missing? The OP's numbers indicate he selected the 7 year with max...
  19. Which Floor Mats?

I've only had my truck 11 days, but these Ford all-weather mats are good. Actually used the same in my Expedition and they held up great and worked well. If you're regularly in a lot of mud or slush, you might do better with a deeper Husky or Weathertech tray liner, but these are every bit as...
  20. Cannot trust my truck to stop charging at 90%

Charging to 100% is a non-issue if done on an L2 charger and then you drive it. Going to 100% on DCFC is much more strenuous on the battery, but also why the truck throttles back the charge rate as necessary to keep from wearing on the battery. The biggest issue with 100% SOC is it bleeds off...
