Every time this subject has come up on this forum I shake my head. Why is anyone worrying about who can afford this pickup and who should buy it or not. Seems kind of odd & what is the motive behind it?
I agree with everything you’ve said. My point is that saying a certain amount of income is an indicator of whether you can afford this vehicle is false. Many that make over $200k cannot afford it and many that make under that amount can afford it.
As in the book the millionaire next door...
It is amazing to me that people make assumptions what other people can afford. They have no idea how these people spend their money, have invested their money, do they have rent or house payments, do they have kids or any other idea of what they can afford.
I found this article on the module vs stickers. According to this maybe the module was short lived.

My wife took ours to Walmart picking up groceries for a friend. When the person from Walmart asked where she wanted the groceries she pointed to the trunk. He just stood there with a look like she must be nuts. She opened the trunk & he was pretty surprised. ?
I went to the local Flying J Saturday to have a propane bottle filled. The manager filled the bottle for me. I asked him if they had plans for electric chargers. He said yes they are in the process & planning. They have the extra land already & are planning for chargers & extra parking...
I also took delivery on the 5th. Received my Sunrun FedEx tracking today. It should arrive on next Tuesday. I have all the wiring installed, just a matter of wiring in the charger.
You are right. If one is to check the statistics of ice vehicle fires it’s pretty staggering.
The reality is that if you put enough energy in to move a heavy vehicle for miles you are always going to have a potential for a disaster. We have grown to accept it for ice vehicles.
As a retired firefighter the EV fire issue is something I’m certainly interested in. To put it in perspective here is another issue.

I used my cell phone & went through the process & credit card was charged. I received an e-mail from them today & it said that nothing went through on their end. I tried a good part of the afternoon calling them without anyone ever answering on their end. I sent an e-mail showing the charge...
I’ve noticed that rust on almost every review I’ve seen on the Lightning. I checked mine that just arrived today. No rust but probably will see it after driving in the first rain. My guess is it’s nothing to worry about
Cell phone did the trick. Thanks
I purchased the 8 yr 125,000 miles with 100 deductible with the key and lights extra. The new pricing only raised it 7.7% or $145 from before the increase. Rather it wasn't raised but certainly not the 10 or 11% reported by some.
I've tried with 2 different cards & am also getting the message.
