That's apparently part of the problem, the transformer is less than 15-20 feet from the NEMA 14-50 plug, so very little voltage drop due to line loss.
I would be interested in seeing any EVSEs which are designed to work with 250v if you can share.
I have a 120/240 mobile EVSE https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09D6P5MVM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which has served me well. It works on 120v outlets with an adapter, and on NEMA 14-50 outlets as well. I took it to our ranch today and it errored out with the message...
You have to: (presuming your Solark is set Limited to Load).
1. Remove the ground pin from the cord running to the truck (this stops the GFCI from tripping).
2. Turn off time of use under system work mode.
3. Turn on Gen Charge under Battery Settings, limit to 70 amps (keep in mind this is...
My ford pass app will only show the 2.4 kw front module as well, but the 7.2 kw back module still works.
The lightning ostensibly will get updates on either the cellular or wifi networks, but mine will get updates on neither. Still on 3.5.4 since manufacture.
I had the same problem happen with my Lightning a week and a half ago. "Stuck at the rail yard in San Antonio due to a labor shortage" was what I was told. I abandoned the order and bought a used 2022 for $5k less and more features (heated steering wheel, scales, etc).
That is the only way I would use it, honestly too. Not worth the conversion loss and battery wear to make this a long-term daily solution. I also would not advise charging the vehicle from the same circuit you are providing power to. There's a YouTube video out there from a guy who narrowly...
Ok tried this with my solark 15k during the winter storm, as our power was out for 12 hours. Initially I got the GFCI fault as predicted. Then I removed the ground pin from the generator cord before I plugged it into the truck (since the ground is bonded in the solark and in the truck it was...
Well they got that. They were the same dealership who insisted on a $15k ADM as well. And they lost their reservation over that. I had bought my last Ford F250 from them. Done with that. Looks like Mac Haik might be able to help up the road.
Heads up if you need service on your Lightning, Covert on 183 is not the place to go. I needed to get a second key fob and update Ford Sync (I'm stuck on 3.5.4), so on the 29th scheduled an appointment for today, which was first available. I got there at 8am and they told me they needed the...
Looks like I am going to have to take the plunge and buy all the equipment to do updates myself. So much for OTA. Ford over the phone told me they couldn't push the update and asked me to set up an appointment with a dealer. I did, went to Covert Ford in Austin this morning and they said I...
Assist is not Bluecruise. Active is Bluecruise. Assist requires the hands on wheel at all times. Something is definitely up with Ford and Bluecruise though, because your post had me check my window sticker for my Lightning which is being manufactured next week and it has "
"FORD BLUECRUISE...
