I definitely wouldn’t. To me the swap would only be for the seats, the interior is a wash, and the wheels/tires are honestly a detriment for me and I’d want smaller ones.
I do not recommend this. Level 3 chargers require a large amount of power and if you do not have 480V/3-phase at your shop you'll likely need one with an integral battery and it will be VERY pricey. Level 2 is great for home charging, level 3 is great for charging on a trip.
It sounds like you...
I doubt this is in there. Go check your car screens it says they don’t share that info. We had pitchforks for this issue when it was brought up last time and all the people that requested their full driving history proved it was for nothing.
I think it’s completely fair to prefer one over the other. I just don’t like when incorrect assumptions are shared and presented as fact and some of the reasons people do not like 1PD I believe are untrue.
I just prefer 1PD, my Model 3 didn’t have it when I first got it and when it came in an...
I've used regen for years now, I have had a decent number of scenarios where I thought I could regen to stop, but it wasn't enough for whatever reason. As soon as you let completely off the throttle it brakes at max regen and idk about you but I instinctively know whether that is enough or not...
I think that is a completely fabricated scenario that wouldn't play out that way. With 1PD you actually brake faster, without a delay, because in the time between letting off the accelerator and getting to the brake pedal, the car is already braking giving you a few extra seconds to stop.
My understanding is that once you have done an OTA, reloading an old backup does in-fact have a chance of messing stuff up. They make changes to configs during OTAs and if you revert to an old one you may be changing values you don't want to be.
What’s wrong with how 1pd interacts with cruise? I’ve got Blue Cruise and have only driven in 1PD and haven’t noticed any issues. It’s actually smoother than my model 3 with FS D was.
Hard disagree, having driven in a decent amount of snow recently I prefer 1pd in snow by a large margin.
This just tells me that you are likely not utilizing the 1PD correctly. Do you fully let off the gas when you want to slow down? You need to feather the throttle like you had to feather a...
The 2020 NEC where this appears has been approved and shipped since 2020. What may be happening is your state deciding if they want to adopt the 2020 NEC?
If your charger is already installed it is not required to meet the newer code, you are grandfathered in. Additionally, the 2020 NEC does not apply to every state. Virginia recently adopted it and other states have not. Some states are on 2023.
While I understand your premise, feathering the throttle stops being a noticeable cognitive load after practice. Just like in a manual vehicle after driving it repeatedly you find yourself shifting gears without realizing that you’re even doing it. I don’t have to think about not braking, by...
