Yeah, mine still says 2/28 - 3/6 and hasnāt changed at all in the last week. So maybe weāll both be pleasantly surprised and get a call from our dealerships in the next few days.
So this new article seems to indicate the battery supplier resumed production, but Ford cannot resume production of the Lightning because it needs obtain the newly produced batteries from the manufacturerās plant in Georgia.
Based on that, is it safe to assume the stop shipment has been...
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Cabin temperature isnāt an issue for me when I charge overnight as itās parked in my heated garage that never gets below about 60F.
It sounds like Iāll just charge every 3-5 days or when itās at about 30% state of charge on my Level 2, 48A charger.
Does it matter how often I charge to 85% or 90%? For example, I drive not more than 20-30 miles each week day. If Iām at 85% on Monday morning, then at 75% Mon evening, should I charge back up to 85% each night? Or charge to 85% Sunday night and let it get down to maybe 20% or so by Friday...
Can anyone summarize or provide a link that summarizes the Mach E HVBJB issue? I know nothing about it and my searching only returns results of Mach E owners getting it resolved.
Iāve researched this quite a bit and the consensus seems to be 4-6 weeks from build to delivery, but it seems to be shorter in recent times. My blend date was 1/22, build date a few days after that, and my estimated delivery is 2/16 to 2/22. Weāll see how accurate that is in the next 10 days.
I would never put stickers on my wheels, but it does look better. The platinum wheels are arguably the ugliest of all Lightning trim wheels. I saw someone on here that powder coated them black and they looked great!
I just wanted to provide an update on this. I got an email this morning that now says the truck is built and estimated delivery is 2/16 to 2/22. HOWEVER, the āin productionā stage is still not changed to green or have a check mark. So I guess the only takeaway is that the progress bar is...
I ordered a Lariat 511A with max tow and the mobile power cord. I wish I hadnāt ordered the mobile power cord, but didnāt realize there are better aftermarket products available at the time.
Interesting! Have you checked if you have tear tags or module codes populates?
Whatās your trim and specs? Some claimed earlier that certain options delayed things more. Specifically, I read the spray-in bedliner might be delaying some Lightnings. For what itās worth, I didnāt add a bedliner on...
My blend date was 1/22, but my status still shows āscheduled for productionā and lists the week of 1/16/23. I checked and have tear tags and tons of module codes are populated. Yet, my status still doesnāt have a green check mark for āin production.ā What gives?
MODULES
Motorcraft Build Data - Use VIN# - Will Show BCE Codes Populated After Build

PCM = Powertrain Control Module; BCE = Body Control Electronics
While we sit and wait wondering if our Lightning has been built yet, we can check if our "modules have...
I have a tear tag and the modules populated, but on Fordās reservations website, itās still not showing my truck is even in production. Very strange.
As additional info, my production week is still showing week of 1/16/23 and my blend date is 1/22/23. My tear tag is CRL5, whatever that means.
I have a dumb question about preconditioning the batteries. I donāt have my Lightning yet, so maybe these questions have obvious answers.
I will keep my Lightning in a heated garage overnight. The temp stays around 55-60 degrees F. Is there any benefit to preconditioning at that temp? I then...
I apologize for probably a dumb questionā¦
My build date is scheduled for the week of 1/16. As of today (1/19), itās still showing āScheduled for Production the week of 1/16/2023ā
Is this normal? Should I be concerned about being bumped to another week if I havenāt been moved to production yet...
I donāt think Ford ever mentioned anything about the heated steering wheel delete. The first time I knew it was deleted on mine was when I was first able to see the window sticker. Iām scheduled for production next week; I hope to join you all with a Lightning in the garage soon.
Iād really like to know what others say about this too. Iām worried my dealership will tell me it will be sold as new and I file for the full $7500 tax credit and find out months later when the IRS audits me that it wasnāt eligible.
I cannot recommend against this enough. Yeah, you lose the ability to flip up the 2 seater. But the inconvenience of walking around the truck EVERY time you need to put the baby in or take him/her out of the truck would be really annoying. You want the baby on the driverās side for convenience...
