  1. Make sure you make those payments on time ! In the future your car will repossess itself! Dude, Where's My Ford?

Sorry, but that article is a year and a half old. Ford has since decided against it. Too much negative feedback I suspect. https://www.thedrive.com/news/ford-abandons-self-repossessing-car-tech-at-least-for-now Still, if you finance, make payments or you don’t deserve the car. ?? Old news.
  2. Comma AI self driver assistant

I'd be interested in this too. Not sure which version I need...I gotta read through this thread! If I can get a harness I'll order the comma same day!
  3. Ford Needs to Promote Two Pedal Mode to First Time EV Buyers.

Yeah, it's too bad the tech is so far behind on the Lightning. One thing I miss from my Tesla MYP is the constant, feature laden updates. Actual changes not "your speakers are better now" or "if we ever update updates will be smoother now" or "percentage on dash!" changes. The blended...
  4. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Oh my God you are impossible. You admit the CT API is better (last I knew we were discussing CT vs Lightning) than Lightning. So you can't win that argument, so instead you switch to charger and charger APIs. Seriously, do you "hear" yourself? I'm out. It's SOOO obvious that the tech of the...
  5. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Great...one point of many. There's no evidence it's worse and it's hard to believe that "more power" is ever a wash.
  6. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

The estimated time of completion is a piece I didn't see...and I always manipulated the amperage directly through the car's API. The Tesla charger that I'm using doesn't have that control via API.

Easy and already expressed, so why repeat myself? I'll do it just for you, "bro." The CT is much more advanced technologically, and that isn't an opinion...it's fact. 4 wheel steering, air suspension, 48 volt architecture and software are all factually more advanced. There. I said it again...

Are you able to adjust charging speed by manipulating amperage? Get back from the car the estimated time of charge completion? Two very important pieces to my use case. When I checked in March, that was not possible.
  9. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Except you're not, "bro". Your ad hominem attacks tell me you have nothing left to argue.
  10. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Clearly you have no valid points to argue. Have a nice day.
  11. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

While technically true, Ford's API is useless. You can't do anything close to what you can do with Tesla's. The code I wrote to control and charge my Tesla is impossible with Ford's API. Saying it is "a little more limited" is absurd. It's close to useless! I was hoping back in March that...

    Is reading not your thing?
  13. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Given the price difference, vanity has to be high up on the list of reasons. I could have bought two Lariats for the price of a single CT. Makes no sense. If you want it primarily for utility I don't see how it beats the Lightning, aside from ground clearance.
  14. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Now all of that I agree with. I'm not trading my Lightning for a CT. I have the one I prefer, regardless of who has better (more advanced) tech. I despise the "look at me" attention it gets. No thank you.
  15. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

STRONGLY disagree with this statement. :) Have a nice day.

4 wheel steering is more about turning radius than skidpad numbers. Skidpad is suspension, tires, center of gravity, etc. Lots of things go into that, but 4 wheel steering has little, if anything, to do with it. I'm talking about turning radius when I say it turns like a boat, not agility. I...
  17. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Sure 4 wheel steering and air suspension have been around forever. That doesn't change the fact that the CT has them and the F150 doesn't. I especially wish it had air suspension. 4 wheel steering should be nice (this thing turns like a boat,) but not necessary. Still...tech win for CT. I...

If only it were that simple. You can be the best defensive driver in the world, some things are out of your control. Mechanical failure, for one. It's all about risk/reward. Because something bad *might* happen doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. Just because someone *might* hack your car...
  19. Tesla stops reservations for cheapest Cyberturd

Of course. BUT, how long has it been out there? Ever heard of anyone doing anything nefarious with it? I'd rather have it than not. By the way, you could use the same argument to say you should never drive. You might crash and die. Sometimes the risk of the thing you want is worth that...

Air Suspension, 48 volt architecture, 4 wheel steering. The underlying software (not the interface, but all the other code,) the bus, etc. For example, Tesla has a publicly available API. That means I (as a programmer) can access the car and its features. Control it. An example: I work from...
