  1. Chargers coming soon?

I think that a two tiered rate system would be good for them. Tesla owners pay one rate and others pay a higher price. The problem in the US for super chargers is that Tesla cars use their own plug that is unique to Tesla. In Europe Tesla uses ccs on their cars, so their super chargers are...
  2. Changing the color on my order

I emailed my dealer to change color. They said that they would try if they could. The next day I got an email from Ford updating my order... Still waiting on a production week.
  3. So... Uh.... Dumb Question...

When I changed dealers in January they refunded me the 100. I didn't pay anything else (1k) to Ford/dealer until my order was accepted on Feb 18. The new dealer could charge the 100 dollar reservation deposit it they wanted to (per Ford), but they didn't have to.
  4. So... Uh.... Dumb Question...

Other posters have stated that when their dealership changed ownership they had to order at the dealership vs online.
  5. Installation question, already have a Tesla charger

Grizzl E has an EVSE with two plugs that share one supply. I have not used the product, but on the Volvo EV forum that I follow there are many who use grizzl E products (ul listed, made in Canada).
  6. Cannot Believe Ford's order process

You have to be going 88 mph when the lightning strikes.
  7. Cannot Believe Ford's order process

Seriously...It looks like your dealer placed your order without your input. Did you actually tell them how you wanted it optioned? They are telling you that your order will not come in this year (because they ordered what they wanted to sell) and when asking Ford to help with this situation...
  8. Drivers Don't Understand How Cruise Control Works

On our Volvo XC90 I can toggle the lane keeping assist on and off while the adaptive cruise continues to function. Our xc40 EV allows the toggling of the lane keeping assist in a menu on the main display three or four taps to get there... These systems are great a lot of the time, but they...
  9. Load sticker #'s from door jam of Extended Range Lightning

My lariat ER max tow order paperwork says 8550 gvwr, so if those are accurate stickers for a lariat ER non-max tow then the payload should be 1602 (150 pounds more than the 8400 gvwr) less the added weight of max tow.
  10. Maximum tire size for F150L - without cutting, lifting or leveling

    The 20s and 22s come with 33s. The 18s come with 32s.
  11. Shelby Lightning?

If it starts running out/losing power after 5 or 6 seconds, then they better get through the quarter mile in 6 seconds ?.
  12. ICED BLUE SILVER F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

Cyber orange would have been a slam dunk. That or a bright green that you are on sports cars and occasionally Ram trucks. I would be hard pressed to pick between a bright orange and bright green.
  13. ICED BLUE SILVER F-150 Lightning Photos & Club

Yikes, not much clearance between that caliper and rear wheel.
  14. Lightning suspension comparison to current F-150?

Any idea what the smallest wheels that will clear the calipers? Thinking about winter tires.
  15. F-150 Lightning Forum's gone solo!

Is there a way to scroll to the bottom of the page and see the most recent comments? I had the lightning sub forum bookmarked and could scroll down and see threads that has updates since last viewing. Now I have to check each topic for updates. I hope it's just me and someone can help make it...
  16. Ford Mobile Charger

If you use the charge station pro from an ER lightning it will likely not work with the phev due to the DC plugs that match up with the ccs type connector. Yes, they are both j1772, but the phev (unless it is an outlander phev) does not accept the ccs plug. If the evse is the portable 32 amp...
  17. F-150 Lightning Forum's gone solo!

Cool. Most challenging part of this was remembering my password. Has to go back to gen14, logout, login again viewing the password (turns out it was a typo if what I thought it was...Never would have guessed that).
  18. Bicycles in Short Bed

I would do the fork mounts for road bikes, but through axle mtb of various sizes (100x15mm, 110x15mm, 150x15mm) that don't all have quick releases and then having someone grab the front brakes (pads get stuck). I'd rather keep the wheels on my MTBs. But I can make a rack that supports doing...
  19. Bicycles in Short Bed

I do something similar with my 5 foot bed Tacoma, though the tailgate must remain open. The extra 6 inches should make a difference. I currently can run bikes front or back wheel forward. The new setup will be back wheel to the front of the truck and raise the rack 6 to 10 inches (effectively...
  20. Read before you order! Expect 50% range loss in winter in Northern states.

Short drives are the enemy of efficiency (both in EV and ICE). Warming the battery and the cabin initially take a lot of energy compared to keeping them at the desired temperature. My wife used to average around 2.5 miles per kWh in our bolt. I once we bought its replacement (xc40 EV) I got to...
