How do the dual OBCs work on the truck? Are they load balanced so they share the incoming load (even low amps), or one needs to get at capacity before the other one kicks on?
To my dismay, I may have no choice but to get rid of F150L soon since I am losing my job in a few months. I know I can extend the FMC loan, and I have done that before, but I don’t want to do that anymore. The trade-in value of this truck is not the best so I will be seriously upside down. So I...
Besides the slight boat feeling since I am in a truck, I don't think the stock strut/shock are doing a bad job (especially with the slightly higher rate springs on the Platinum) but I wish it was better. That being said, when does everyone recommend replacing them? I have only 34K on the truck...
I am not sure what happened yesterday, however today now Google Maps shows navigation on the IP.
I only saw this for Apple Maps, but now for Google Maps.
Updated with link to official Ford Digital Experience website:
https://www.ford.com/technology/ford-digital-experience/
It shows both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capable.
So we all knew this was coming, but now we see it in the video - Fords Digital Experience:
I guess SYNC has...
Besides the phone applications being updated, I haven't heard or seen new updates for our trucks. The last priority update was back in May, and for myself, the BC 1.4 update hit in early June.
I guess no news is good news, or that layoff had an affect our our updates.
So after nearly 3 years, my interior has an interesting smell to it which I can't seem to get rid of (like a locker room). Any ideas on how to remove it without hurting the interior? I was going to do a bunch of trees or some type of glade plugin (we have the outlet), but I think that is overkill.
Well, after nearly 3 years of ownership, it happened. I was traveling along the highway and was behind a beer truck when I was hit with a nice size rock that caused 3 little marks/pits on the windshield. They are pretty tiny, but they are in my center of view and I can use them for target...
I am perfectly happy with the HP, Torque, and the 0-60 of the F150L, but I am wondering if there would be some way to squeeze a bit more power from the motors. I know the batteries would be a limiting factor due to the current architecture, but unlike ICEs we are mod limited and can’t add really...
This is one of those topics that I believe is more about personal preference than anything else.
I ran out of some the standard “blue” wiper fluid, and was looking into the “higher-end” brands, like Rain-X platinum for example thinking they might be better. However, even though they might be...
As I type this now, I am here in the campgrounds with 35 degree F windy weather and the low is supposed to get around 25F (not factoring in wind chill). I wasn’t expecting it to be this cold and windy however by 11PM I was shivering and not feeling well. Thank goodness I had my F150L with 73%...
So I have been using a MUSTART 40 Amp 20 Ft J1772 Extension Cord for a number of years now. Unfortunately I have been having issues with the internal cables showing due to the sheathing coming down (I can tuck them back in). However the other issue is some rusting on the bottom pin, which...
Ever since I bought this truck, I often wondered under full acceleration (full WOT for ICE engines), what would "break first"? I have seen home built electric cars/trucks with way too much power bend/twist/break axles, tear apart rubber belts and etc. Could that still happen with the F150L, or...
Any ideas on how to get a "Not Completed" update to go to "Completed"? I have been stuck on this ECG-24.2.5.6.1 update for at least a week, and I am not sure what is happening.
So my truck is in the shop for a battery module replacement, and I was wondering what are the differences between the older module (from circa 2022) and this new one. Are they made by the same manufacturer (SK), same chemistry, etc...
NJ is always stating they want to go green, and etc.. However it appears it needs to get some extra funds. So with this Bill (A4011), it not only increases the gas tax over the several years but also adds a $250 yearly EV registration fee (which goes up to $290 in 2029)...
So obviously we know how it works, either we just plug in and it "just works" or we need to start charging manually (app or locally). However I am interested in how it would "just work". I heard a very brief snip-it on one of the most recent munro and associates videos thats it seems to be based...
I was refreshing my Connected Services page on Ford's website, and saw information on the Ford Protect PremiumCARE Flex Plan. I assume this is only for vehicles that are out of warrant, but I never heard of this before.
