That would be the cat's meow if it was a whole home solution. The N-G bond issue is remediated by bringing a G wire into the generator receptacle box, bonding the box, but not landing the G wire into the receptacle prongs.

I spent more time installing that hardware than actually using it. Oh well, it's there just-in-case.

The utility only cares about the aggregate inverter size connected in parallel to their grid. They don't care how they connect. The TOU rate topic is interesting, and I have little to no confidence in NGRIDs/Eversources ability to figure it out.

The DPU recently expanded the Cap Exempt Net Metering threshold to 25 kWac (up from 10). I believe the Delta invreter that's part of the HIS is 9 kWac, so unless you have a large existing PV system, there shouldn't be any conflict. https://www.mass.gov/news/dpu-expands-net-metering-program

That Emporia is a very high quality unit. Kinda surprised it's so inexpensive. SunRun royally screwed up when I bought my truck and sent me two CSPs. Sold one on eBay and bought an Emporia. Installed a CSP at my house and the Emporia at a family members house. Worked out great.

If I bought a new one today, I'd sell the free unit and get a Gen1 Tesla that's capable of 80A and get adapters. If the industry keeps trending away from CCS and toward NACS, then your future proof. That math changes if you want to hedge against whole home backup systems.
