This X thread is like a whose on first skit. I haven’t tested it but I’d wager a bet that any 80amp charger will work with a 2022 or 2023 Lightning OR with a 2024 that added the dual onboard charger from the factory. If they didn’t add the dual onboard charger from the factory then it will stop...
With the duration of time that elapsed I would have assumed this truck would fall into lemon law status and result in a Ford buy back. Depending on your state laws I would consider looking into this. However, this experience also shows (again and again in my opinion) that Ford really needs...
I agree that the portable solar generator with panels from Anker or Ecoflow is probably better. A bit more expensive still but would provide a little more power for truly off grid vehicle charging. In 2-3 days of sunlight you could probably charge the Lightning 50% or more.
Apologies if this was already discussed here. I searched the forum and didn’t see anything. Does anyone know more about this product? It’s the equivalent of a level 1 charger but directly from solar panels you carry atop the vehicle. Obviously the Lightning could carry this easily...
From just the title I thought for a second that you somehow rigged this up so that pressing the unlock button on your fob then unlocked the spare tire lock. Lol. But I see this is a key cylinder mating to the main key. I think when I bought my 2023 the dealer gave me the cylinder lock foe the...
Thanks I’ll send feedback via Sync again. I wonder if there is another channel to send this specific kind of post update feedback directly to Ford BEV but unsure.
Well it happened again today after another overnight update. Front motor not operating and 56% power. The update this time was 24-PU0105-CMR-FX. I was plugged into level 1 same as before during the update but I did not have a predeparture set this time. I was running late for work so I had to...
Luckily the ride home from work yesterday was fine and today it also seems fine. So hopefully that was just the same temporary software glitch that others have experienced.
Thanks! Now I totally want to put one of these in mine. Recently when I had to take the tail light off there and install a swing out bed box I thought to myself, wow there’s a lot of wasted space behind here. So I guess it’d have to be cut out with an angle grinder and then retrofit either that...
I'm a little confused on how I would proceed with using this service if I'm not a fleet customer but just a regular retail buyer. It looks great, but if anyone has any starter tips I'm all ears.
Had this issue happen to me for the first time this morning. My truck has about 6,100 miles on it. Overnight I was level 1 charging (up to around 75% charge) and I had a predeparture set for 7:30am. Also I got the 6.5.0 update last night around 1am. I left for work a little early at 7:15 (prior...
Related question - will the battery precondition for a scheduled departure if I’m plugged in to Level 1 charging? Or does this only work with Level 2?
Got it. Well I hope the dealers send the module with the bad cell back to Ford who can likely repair it instead of tossing the entire module into the trash bin. Maybe wishful thinking.
