It's locked in with two or three clips. So you can just kinda pop it off.
Don't have a good picture of it but you can see two of the clip bosses here:
EDIT: Actually, this pic shows exactly the area you need to work in lol. The connector for the rain sensor is that little 3 wire tucked into...
I added rain sensing wipers with just the sensor and the FORScan changes. You should be fine but I would pull down the plastic piece above the rearview mirror and make sure you have the connector tucked up in the hole where the sensor goes.
I assume you'll be fine with it being a Lariat but...
I bought one to charge the truck while in Maine on a vacation trip...was a mobile level 2 charger from SplitVolt. Was basically half the price of the Ford unit.
Called the dealer to look into scheduling my (now overdue) 10k service and asked about this CSP, I was then told the software has an estimated release of end Q4 '23 and in his words "really likely means the middle of Q1 2024"
I have the tile in my FordPass app, was going to schedule my slightly behind 10k service and have it taken care of but figured I'd email the service writer first to see if they even have the right techs on Saturdays.
The 1 in 5 attempts pretty much nails my experience on the way to Maine.
The EVgo in Sturbridge MA didn't work, one was in use, 2 were hard down and the one I plugged into wouldn't connect nor could it be remotely initiated even after a reboot. Caused a re-route to Auburn MA where every charger...
If it isn't a corporate owned location I am sure the person running the business will switch to a different fuel provider by the end of that 10 year mark. Not everyone has money to throw around for DCFC installs.
Took my SR on a 1500 mile trip to central Maine. I drove until I had about a 40 or so mile buffer but for the most part gave the Ford nav a shot and it didn't really disappoint until the way home when it routed me to two Nissan dealers with what appeared to be 25kW chargers and one on the Mass...
Stopped at Auburn twice on my recent trip to Bowerbank, ME....both times pretty disappointing but they at least worked unlike the EVgo in Sturbridge at the Panera/Holiday Inn Express. The Stratford CT spot was great though so that made up for the issues lol.
Was the West Gardiner ChargePoint...
Wanted to bring this up real quick, made it up to our place in Central Maine with no issues for the most part. Starting the trek back to Delaware on Saturday, so that may be another exciting time lol.
First stop from Wilmington was at the Stratford CT EA station in the McDonalds parking lot...
There should be a happy medium, really.
I had an '18 Colorado Crew Cab for 2 or so years and thought there was plenty of room in the cab until myself and a buddy packed our bikes in the bed and our bags in the back seat on a road trip and it got small quickly.
Wound up leasing a '22 Frontier...
Leased a '22 Nissan Frontier to get me through between the Bolt buyback (tried cashing in on it but turned out I drove too much:LOL:).
Otherwise I drove my G8 often until putting the supercharger on it, kind of lost its charm after doing that.
We have a few napkins in it and tossed the Switch in there on our quick road trip out to Pittsburgh from Delaware the other weekend....but then found out it wasn't really needed. I had thought charging would've taken longer lol.
